“I connected the laptop to his car’s GPS. So what do you plan? Do you want them to get there or not? They still have about thirty seven minutes to get there. A one hour drive just to eat is actually surprising.”

“Must be his wife, isn’t she pregnant? Her craving must have been food from there.” Gideon chuckled as if remembering how his wife used to bother him.

“How long will it take me to get to Westland?”

“About forty minutes with your car and twenty five minutes with a power bike. Gideon has a power bike.” He muttered the last part, and we both stared at Gideon.

“Stop with the creepy stares. I do have a power bike and I’ll appreciate it if you do not crash it in an attempt to chase Rick Antonio.”

“I do not plan to crash it, it might come in handy later,” I said, getting up. Gideon threw the keys at me and I caught it, pointing my hand again. “Your gun.”

They widened their eyes at my request. “You’re using a gun?”

“Um yeah. It’s a public space, where would I have time to torture them with a knife?” I raised an eyebrow at them.

Whenever I held a knife, I always wished to torture and badly mutilate someone. But Rick and his wife were going to be in a public space, and I would have no time to do that. I might even just have to shoot them without coming off the power bike.

“Fine, fine,” Gideon stood up, opened his drawer and threw a Luger six shooter at me which I caught with one hand. I peeped in his drawer and brought out a packet of cigarettes. He scowled at me, but I ignored him and lit a stick, throwing the packet back in his drawer.

“Don’t die. We still have more Antonios to kill.” Yusuf said.

I blew out smoke from my nose as I spoke. “Who dies from going to kill someone?” They nodded with mocking smirks. “And I know we still have more Antonios to kill. This mission was originally mine, you’re starting to take it too seriously,” I murmured and they chuckled, while I struggled to keep a smile off my face.

“Go, you’re wasting time.” I turned to leave and Gideon called me.

“Hey, are… are you going to kill the pregnant wife too?” He asked and I stared at him. “I mean, I was just asking.” He shrugged and I sighed.

“I’ll send her ass to her family. But if I come across her again while killing another Antonio, I can’t promise not to hurt her.” I said.

He smiled ear to ear and nodded, while I scoffed irritatedly. He didn’t even know her.

I dropped the cigarette and stepped on it. Gideon frowned. “Bitch, don’t do that in my office. Now you just wasted the cigarettes.”

“This is what you get when you buy cheap ass cigarettes, asshole.” I should have known I wouldn’t like it when I saw that it wasn’t MarlBoro. That's what I got for being greedy anyway.

“You really are a bitch, I can’t believe I almost liked you.” I flipped him off and he waved his hand at me in a dismissing gesture. “Just go, you’re starting to annoy me.”

“It’s the way you both would rather die than admit you like each other. You will never accept he’s older and he’ll never agree you’re younger, so go on and bicker like age mates.”

“Shut up.” Gideon and I chorused, and Yusuf raised his hands in submission.

I put on my nose mask, pulled up the hood of my hoodie with the gun in my pocket and left the office as I heard Gideon saying ‘good luck’ to me.

Truth was, I didn’t need good luck, I needed a heart to not shoot a bullet through Dana’s bulging belly.

I had nine more minutes to get to Westland, while Rick and his wife had fifteen minutes.

I sped up and got to the restaurant, waiting for Rick and his wife, Dana to show up. I looked around the garage and there were no guards in sight. That was weird, but thank God.

Without removing the helmet from my head, I stood beside the bike, hands folded to my chest, as I thought of Jayden.

How did he feel when Troy died? How would he feel when Rick dies? I knew I shouldn’t care about him or his take on anything, but I couldn’t help it. I wished I didn’t meet him until it was time for him to die because he was messing with my head. I hated that now I was going to have to guess how he would feel before murdering his brothers.

He did say he chose me, but what did that mean? That he wouldn’t mind if I killed his brothers and his dad?

My heart felt warm when he said he chose me.
