“Alex, we… we’re sorry,” Yusuf started softly.

“Well don’t be, cuz I’m not. Now hatch a plan for me, I need to kill Rick Antonio.” I flicked my finger at the ‘hatch’ and they shook their heads. I frowned. What now?

“No,WEneed to kill Rick Antonio. In fact, we need to kill all the Antonios.” Yusuf said.

“They messed with our girl. You might be a bitch sometimes –well all the time, but you are still one of us. I’m sorry for whatever happened to you, you didn’t deserve it and nothing can stop the pain, but we can surely bring hell to earth.” Gideon added and I blinked blankly at them. I didn’t know what to feel or say.

“Rick will die, Alex, and so will the other Antonios. You want to kill them yourself, I understand and you will. We’ll just direct you and help you make plans.” I nodded at that. They were starting to get it. Did my little story change things?

Well, I couldn’t go around telling people what happened to me because I wanted them to get me. Yusuf and Gideon were the last exceptions I’d make. I was not a good speaker.

Gideon cleared his throat. “Your dad, wh… where is he?” I narrowed my eyes on him. He was starting to enjoy the story a little too much.

“I killed him, he was my first victim.” I shrugged and Yusuf put both his hands on his head with a breathy laugh.

“I should have known. You’re unforgiving, Alex.” Yusuf said with a shake of his head and I sneered.

“If I’m unforgiving, then you’re what? You became an assassin because your mom’sboyfriendssexually assaulted you several times. And you Gideon, you became an assassin because you found your pregnant wife dead in a hallway without a baby in her after three days of searching.” They glared at me, but not a glare I could take seriously. They never scared me and they knew it.

“Why couldn’t you forgive and forget about it, Gideon? You didn’t even know who did it. And you Yusuf, are you trying to tell me that if a natural cause didn’t kill your –bitch of a– mother right before the completion of your training, you wouldn’t kill her yourself?” I continued.

“Ikilled her,” he revealed, chuckling. Gideon and I snapped our heads at him, the same shocked look on our faces. That was a new revelation.

“Asshole, you said it was a natural cause. You clearly told me that it was a natural cause.” Gideon barked and I nodded in support. That was what he told me too.

“I pushed her from the balcony. Gravity was the natural cause in the situation.” He laughed and after a while, Gideon and I joined.

We laughed for about three minutes before we stopped to catch our breaths.

It was so ironic, someone from afar would think we were normal people having a business meeting. What they didn’t know was what we had been through in life, how traumatized we were inside our hearts.

I peered down through the glass balcony of Gideon’s office, and I saw people passing by. Some with headphones on their heads, some with pets, some on their phones and some with smiles on their faces and I couldn’t help but wonder…

Did some of these people also have things buried deep inside their hearts? Did some of these people get nightmares too? Did some of them suffer at night because they still relive whatever happened to them years ago?

Look at them, all looking so beautiful and handsome, with bright smiles on their faces. If that girl with a white cat told me her father just killed her mother, wouldn’t I believe it? Of course I would.

It was unbelievable because she seemed so happy, but so was my story. ‘Once upon a time, my dad left me to die and six boys raped me for eight days’ was an unbelievable story, but it did happen. So I would believe it if someone else told me.

It would only take someone in the darkness to recognize someone close to the darkness.

A couple passed by, holding hands as the girl stared down at where their hands connected and blushed. Our eyes met and I smirked at her. He was either a new boyfriend or a friend who was a crush that lacked the balls to ask her out. She smiled back and gave a small wave, which made her even more attractive. I liked nice girls.

“We have to kill the original Blue, they will interrogate her. '' I tore my eyes away from her and pouted at Yusuf. They squinted their eyes at me trying to figure out what the pouting was for.

“Sad, I wanted to fuck her at least once… What, the girl was pretty.” I said as they stared at me dumbfounded. Ah they didn’t know I fuck girls, did they?

“This bitch is gay?” They didn’t.

“I do both, I’m bi.”

They nodded with no emotions on their faces and if I wasn’t like them, I would say a stone could feel more.

“Rick and his wife are currently on the road heading to Westland restaurant,” Yusuf said and I creased my face, genuinely confused.

“How did you know that?”

“You can see me typing on the laptop, Alex, you didn’t think I was writing your life story, did you?” I glared at him and he chuckled.
