“You are so infuriating. Coming and going all those times like you had some right. I can’t with you, Rocky. Do you know how fucking creepy that is, and illegal?” I shook my head, wholly exasperatedandenthralled.

“You wouldn’t talk to me, so I did what I had to do to get through to you, but I have to admit, I enjoyed messing with you while you slept. Fucking turned me on so much, I jerked off.”

I gasped. “Did you put your cum in my mouth?”

Another stupid grin.

“Jesus Christ. You’re a psycho.”

“I’m your psycho.”

“I haven’t said I would take you back.” But after the phenomenal sex we’d had, I wanted more. “Where’ve you been? I thought you were gone again, but this time for good.”

“After bringing the apple pie, I had a seizure.” He tugged me onto his lap and wrapped his arms around me. “I’d run out of meds. Xabier had his uncle overnight them, but I needed a few days to recover.”

“Oh my gosh. You can’t do that,” I told him in a scolding tone. The more we talked, the more it felt like we’d never been apart. “You have to take your meds regularly and take care of yourself.”

“Fuck, I missed you.” He kissed me softly.

“We can’t get ahead of ourselves. I need to act like I’m with Vegas, and I don’t want to confuse my son.”

“He’s my son. Just admit it.”

I couldn’t. Not yet. “Promise me you won’t do anything to rile up Vegas. Play along until we know it’s safe.”

“We, as in you and Tomcat?” His grip tightened around me.

“Yes.”

“You two are close then?”

“Yes. He’s my friend.”

“And lover.” His jaw twitched.

“Yes, and if you hurt a hair on his head, we won’t ever come back from it.” I couldn’t let Rocky flip out. Tomcat meant a lot to me, and I wouldn’t stand by and let Rocky kill him.

“Fine, I won’t touch him. But you better not fuck him anymore.”

I shook my head. “You don’t own me.”

“Yet. But I will get you back, then I’m never letting you go again.”

I prayed he meant it. “Fine, but you need to leave before my son wakes up.” It had to be close to four in the morning by now.”

“Tell me he’s mine. Tell me his name.”

“Rocky, he’s mine.”

“I’m spending every night in your bed, so you better be ready for me.”

“You can’t. Vegas might find out.” Was he out of his mind? Could his tumor be affecting his sense of logic? Yeah, right. There was nothing logical about Rocky Jones.

“He won’t. And after I’m president, he won’t be an issue. I just need to be voted in first.”

“And when do you think that will happen?” The sooner, the better, so we can repair the broken pieces of our lives.

“I’ll push Vegas. He’s been dicking me around long enough.”
