“I trust you to handle him if needed.” I stalked down the hallway to where our prisoner was. Libby and Grizzly had better be right about Tomcat being a reasonable man. If not, he’d never make it off the compound alive.

Strangely, it was quiet inside the bar. He wasn’t struggling.

“Did he give you any trouble?” I studied the man. He didn’t look like the other maggot-infested Hell’s Bells. He was wearing a fuckin’ pair of Western boots, reminding me of my Angel and her half a dozen pairs of sexy-ass boots.

“Only at first. When he saw Grizzly, he calmed down,” Boxer said. “We’d kept him bound and gagged for most of the ride home. He hasn’t been a problem.”

“Good.”

“What do you want?” the man tied to a chair asked.

“Your help.”

“I’m listening.” Maybe he was reasonable and not like his MC brothers.

“Rocky Jones is my half brother.”

“I know. Your crew told me. He wants to wipe you and all the Knights out.”

“I won’t let that happen.” I pulled out a chair and sat in front of him. “But I need you to help me stop him.”

“How?”

“Tell me what you know about Rocky’s plans and where we can capture him.”

Tomcat shook his head. “You went to all the trouble to bring me here, when you could’ve caught Rocky five minutes before you nabbed me. I was running after him when I got taken. He needs to know his woman is in trouble.”

“Ella?” Grizzly asked.

“Yes. Vegas had taken her into his room, and Sid went in with them.”

“Fuck! They’re going to…” Grizzly’s words trailed, and he turned murderous. “We have to go back.”

“Not yet. You need to tell me everything you know,” I told Tomcat.

“Vegas and Sid are planning to kill Rocky. Two members are supposed to beat him to death and leave him for dead in the woods on the south side of town, but I don’t know when. We don’t have time to waste. Vegas and Sid are probably raping Ella now.”

“How do I know you’re telling me the truth and not trying to trick us?”

“Because I care about Ella. Ask Landon… I mean Grizzly.” Tomcat glared at my MC brother. “When Ella finds out you’re a Knight, she’ll lose it.”

Libby appeared. “She’ll more than lose it. She’ll hate us.”

“Lydia? What are you doing here with these…” Tomcat looked at the ceiling. “Jesus Christ. You’re one of them. Why didn’t you tell me? I would’ve helped you any way I could years ago.”

“We didn’t need you until Rocky came out of hiding,” I replied.

“And Ella’s safety didn’t matter? What about her son?” Tomcat looked as if he could tear my head off my body. “She never wanted to be a club girl, but Vegas gave her no choice.”

“Storm, you need to go get Ella and Rockson,” Libby said. “They’re not safe.”

I’d only sent a few men to get Tomcat, so we’d get in and out of the town undetected and not risk the lives of innocent locals. I hadn’t wanted Vegas and his crew to find out we were coming after them until I had Rocky under my protection.

Rocky was my blood, and I refused to believe he was an inherently evil man. Like me, he was the product of a shitty father and fucked-up childhood. We weren’t lost causes. Broken, yes. Redeemable, maybe.

My Angel had saved me and helped me to be a better man. I figured I might be able to do the same for Rocky. If not, I’d have to kill him if it meant keeping my loved ones and club safe.

“It might go a long way with Rocky if you make sure his woman and her son are protected,” Tomcat said.
