No wonder she did not know he was there. He wanted to pounce on her, to wrap her up in his arms, and never ever let her go.But he simply watched her.She was eloquent and tough, both a necessity for his kind of work. Most people dismissed dancers as dumb, but he’d never questioned her intelligence.

Hell.

The woman had a copy ofWar & Peacethat she seemed to enjoy reading between dance numbers.Of course, his Tiger was not happy about other men ogling her.But that was in general.Dancing made her happy, so she would dance. His cat would just have to live with it.

For a chance to be with her?

His Tiger would do damn well anything.

“Konstantin,” she whispered, spinning around so suddenly, he’d have missed it if he’d have blinked.

“Moya lyiveetsa,” he whispered.

Time seemed frozen as he stared into her golden eyes, taking her in from the top of her ever present ponytail to the bottoms of her sneaker clad feet. She was wearing a pair of leggings and a Stripe Club tee shirt, and she’d never looked more beautiful to him.

Then she was moving, vaulting actually over his desk, His arms caught her as she tackled him in a fierce hug that would have knocked down a lesser man.But not him.He could take it.Could and would take her.Any day of the motherfucking week.

Their lips crashed together, and he forgot everything bad that had happened.Being arrested, arraigned, and separated from her was pure hell, but the stink of the holding cell still clinging to him stopped him before he ripped the clothes from her body.

“I am so glad you’re out,” she said, burying her face in the crook of his neck.

“Me too, lyiveetsa,” he murmured dropping kisses on her face and head.

“We have news,” she said, looking up as the sounds of footsteps approaching breached their ears.

“News?”

“Boss,” Eduardo called out and walked inside after waiting a moment.“We know where they have Alina.”

Konstantin’s Tiger snarled angrily. What the fuck had those bastards done to his baby sister?Memories of the sweet innocent child she’d been mixed with the photographs and sparse phone calls over the years inside his brain. He’d done his best to stay away, to keep his sister and mother safe. And what for?

“Baby, look at me,” Yasmin said, soothing his beast like no one else could.“She is okay. They haven’t hurt her.She is being kept in the basement of an old warehouse out in Long Island. But there’s more---”

“I’ve got a team together already, Boss.We were just waiting for you,” Eduardo told him, when his gazed flashed from hers to the man.

“What more? How did you get involved?I am so sorry---”

“Hush,” she chided, and kissed his lips hard and quickly.

“Yes,synok, hush.Go make plans to get your sister while I learn more about this new daughter I have.”

“Mama?”Konstantin gasped.

He looked at Yasmin whose own eyes were glittery with unshed tears as the woman who bore him strode into the room. She looked a little older than last time he’d seen her.A little rounder too.But just as beautiful and his heart felt near to bursting as she walked over slowly and lifted her arms with a trembling smile on her face.

Yasmin nodded, and gently pushed him, and Konstantin turned to hug his mother. He was taller than the Siberian Tigress now, and wider still, but dammit, he felt like a child again. She whispered to him in Russian, and all the years between mother and son fell away.Once they’d calmed down, his mother kissed his cheek and moved away, nodding at Yasmin.

“She is good one, yes?Even for a Lioness,” his mother teased.

“Yes, she is very good.I love her.”

“Then I do too.”

“I will get Alina back, Mama.”

“I know you will. But you stay safe, my son.I only have one son and one daughter, and I am not anxious to lose either.”

“I will stay safe,” he promised.
