The heat is blinding as my body prepares for another orgasm. I moan loudly in his ear.

“Please,” I beg.

“Reina,” he whispers and then roars his release.

“Mi rey,” I whisper back and follow him over the edge.

Istare out the window of Dr. Lewis’s office, watching the steady fall of snow as it covered the school grounds below in a white blanket. The days feel shorter now that we’re back at school and rarely get to see the sun. It doesn’t help that the sun just doesn’t shine this time of year.

Or it could be the fact that I’m finally back in my own dorm room and not sitting around watching the clock and being held prisoner at the frat house.

And you loved every minute of it.

“How was winter break?” Dr. Lewis questions.

I lean my forehead against the cool glass and attempt to close my eyes. As soon as I do, however, images of Caleb peeking over my pussy as his tongue works me over plays in my head. I’m pretty surethat’snot what she’s asking.

“Uneventful,” I reply. It’s not exactly the right word to describe what happened, but it’s nothing she needs to know.

“Evelyn, we’ve spoken about this. You have to be open with me in order to get credit for being here.”

My face turns slightly to observe the good doctor. Ever since we met at the deli, she’s been out of character and it’s bothering the fuck out of me. I just can’t figure out what it is. The background check I ran didn’t show any red flags, but something is definitely off.

“I am being honest, doc. It was uneventful. Would you rather me say that I didn’t get beaten up or thrown down a mountain or run off the road?” My tone is crisp and cold.

“Of course not. But something is clearly bothering you, and it’s my job to dig into that.”

She places her pen down and folds her arms while I straighten my spine, bob my head, and walk back to my chair.

“You’re right. So let’s have real talk.” I cross my legs and stare directly into her eyes. “What did you want to talk about at the deli?” I ask.

Her eyes widen as she subtly looks all over the room before landing back on me.

“Nothing. That was a mistake. It won’t happen again.”

My eyebrows pinch together. “What? What won’t happen again?”

She tilts her head. “How about this… Answer a question for me and I’ll answer one for you.”

I nod in agreement and let her continue.

She watches me intently as she asks, “Why are you suddenly hanging around the Knights?”

I sit back in my chair to contemplate the answer to her question. What’s she after?

“Not really hanging out with them, but there were unresolved issues that we’re working out,” I finally say with a shrug. It’s not a lie exactly so it should suffice.

“Do you trust them?” she continues, but I stop her.

“You had your one question, doc. It’s my turn.”

My fingers rub my chin as I take the time to appraise her appearance. Her nearly perfect chignon at the nape of her neck, her pristine blue skirt suit, her fresh face… all of it seems just a little off.

“What was the mistake that won’t happen again?” I ask.

“I shouldn’t have asked you to meet me off campus. With all of my training, I should have known that you weren’t going to want to be friends,” she says sadly. “It was a silly thought.”
