The microphones pick up all our conversations, so I need to play along.

I giggle against my hand. “Do you like it?”

He mock-growls. “Yes, I love it when you do that.”

He’s playing the game, but his husky tone causes a surge of unexpected flutters in my midsection.

Before I can regain my composure, Liam reaches between our bodies, his hand wraps around my elbow, and he guides my fingers away from my mouth. Our lips collide, and the world around me fades into a blur as he drinks me in like a thirsty soldier.

Liam’s hands slip around my back, pulling me impossibly close, erasing every inch of space between us. I'm crushed against his chest, the heat of his body radiating through mine, igniting a fire I need to put out before we both combust.

His kisses are hard and fast, leaving me breathless. I stumble back, but Liam follows, unrelenting in his pursuit. I'm backed against the window, trapped between the glass and the overwhelming force of his desire.

“Liam,” I manage, my voice barely a whisper, a feeble attempt to regain control. It comes out more like a groan.

If Liam needed any more encouragement, that must’ve been his confirmation to go for it.

The intensity of his kisses escalates. His fingers tangle in my hair.

I surrender to the wild storm forming within me, and let it carry me away. The barriers around my heart are no match for his all-consuming touch.

I melt into his embrace, losing myself in Liam. The intoxicating passion has been there all along, but I’ve squelched my desire for him.

But in this moment, I don’t care about restraint. And by Liam’s kisses, he doesn’t either.

His arm hooks under my knees, and a swish goes through my belly as Liam sweeps me into the bridal position. I cling to his neck and my eyes flash open. Walking through the house, Liam continues to kiss me.

I try to speak low enough that the cameras can’t hear me. “Where are you taking me?” But again, it comes out like a muffled groan.

I feel as weightless as a feather. Liam holds me in one arm as he thrusts open the bedroom door.

Oh my gosh. This has gone way too far. I need to reel it in.

He clicks the door behind us, and instantly I jerk my lips away from his face. I smack his chest. “Put me down, you caveman.”

Liam stares at me, blinks, and then drops me to my feet.

“What the heck are you doing, kissing me like that in front of the cameras?” I gasp in a breath.

“Me?” He jabs a thumb at his chest and then points in my direction. “What were you doing with your nails all up my back and playing with my hair? You were testing my limits, admit it.” He folds his arms across his solid chest. The one I was pressed against a minute ago.

“What? I just—”

He lifts his chin. “Thought I’d give you back some of your own medicine. See how you like it.” He gives me a wicked smile. “And you did.”

“Har. The only medicine I need is anti-venom serum for your mouth germs.” I swipe my mouth dramatically.

He throws his head back and laughs. “Don’t deny it, Trina. You enjoyed it if your moans were anything to go by.”

I stamp my foot. “Moans?”

“Lower your voice, they might hear us.”

“I wasn’t moaning, I was trying to tell you to take a chill pill, buddy.”

He laughs. “Don’t worry. You’ve dunked a nice icy bucket over me. I’m so chill right now.”

“Good.” I cross my arms. “You’re sleeping on the couch tonight.”
