Tossing the book aside, he rolled onto his left side and tried to recall the sensation of her in his arms for the all-too-brief twenty minutes he’d allowed himself to relax in bed with her. It was a risk, he knew, but giving her that was better than leaving her with nothing, especially after what they had shared. His cock twitched at the memory.

He wanted more, and a flutter of hope traveled through him. Maybe he could be with Sam.

Chapter 6

“Hello?”

“Hey, Anthony.” Sam smiled at the sound of her brother’s voice.

“Hey, baby sis, long time no talk. How’s it going?” Anthony asked, and she could almost see his smile.

“It’s going,” she said. “I was just thinking about you and figured I’d call.”

“Yeah? What made you think of me?” Anthony asked, curious.

Aero popped into Sam’s head, and she sighed.

“Thanksgiving is coming up. I thought maybe I could come visit for a few days.”

“Sure. When do you wanna come?” Anthony questioned, already making a mental list of what to do to prepare for his sister’s arrival.

They discussed her travel plans until Anthony said, “I’ve gotta get back to work. I’ll text you later. I can’t wait to see you, Sam.”

Sam ended the call with giddiness in her chest at the prospect of visiting with her brother. It had been a long time.

Her idea to visit was self-serving, though. She wanted to talk to Anthony about Aero and get her brother’s opinion on his behavior.

She couldn’t talk to Gemma or Evie about him or their relationship. If they were in a relationship, that was.

Aero struggled so much that it was hard to tell where they were emotionally.

Her classroom door opened, and the man in question entered.

Aero smiled warmly at her.

“Good afternoon, Miss Coleman,” he rumbled, a strange glint in his green eyes.

“Can I help you with something?” she asked, cocking a brow.

“Oh, I hope so,” he said, stalking toward her.

Sam swallowed hard.

She didn’t know where his boldness came from, but she was too caught in his gaze to care. She stood, rounded her desk, and perched on the edge, facing him.

She crooked a finger at him, and he stepped up in front of her.

“Are there cameras that see into this room?” She asked, resting her hands on his chest. He didn’t even flinch.

“No, ma’am,” Aero said, leaning into her touch.

“Good,” she purred, gripping his shirt tightly. “What can I do for you?”

“Kiss me,” he said, making her grin.

Sam pressed her lips to his, their tongues touching and teasing.

“Mmm,” Aero moaned, gripping her hips.
