“You’re beautiful,” she said, reaching out to touch him.

He let her press her palm to his chest and slide down over his stomach, coming to rest by his belly button.

He shivered, her touch leaving a trail of electricity in its wake.

“Thank you,” Aero said, taking her by the wrist and kissing her palm.

She wanted to ask about Nora, to ask why he had such a gruesome tattoo to commemorate her, but he’d tell her when he was ready.

“Turn around,” she said softly, and he obeyed, giving her his back.

His shoulders were wide and strong; tanned skin poured over solid muscle. Aero worked out; she could tell.

Stepping forward, she whispered, “I’m gonna touch you.”

Aero nodded, glancing over his shoulder at her.

Sam lifted her hands and rested them on his shoulders. He sighed, relaxing beneath her touch.

She stroked his hot skin, up and down his back, down his arms, and around his middle. She ran her fingers along the edge of the towel, dipping her fingers just beneath it like he’d done to her in the kitchen.

Aero’s knees buckled, and he grabbed her hands.

Turning toward her, he tugged her against his chest.

“Sammy,” he murmured, gazing down at her.

“Sorry.” She gulped. Sam wanted to touch him all over, to explore, to kiss, lick, and bite every inch of him. He was gorgeous.

“It’s okay,” he said gruffly.

“Coffee’s ready.” That’s what she had originally come to tell him.

“All right,” he answered, stroking her cheekbone with his thumb. “You should go before I take you right here.”

Sam’s eyes flared, shock and delight on her face. She’d let him if he wanted, but deep down she knew they weren’t ready.

“O-okay,” she stuttered.

“I want you,” Aero said. “Please, don’t ever think otherwise.”

Sam nodded, and he leaned down, kissing her soundly before releasing her.

Sam stumbled out of the bathroom and back to the kitchen, a foolish grin on her face as she poured two cups of coffee.

She didn’t know how Aero took his coffee, but if she had to guess, she’d think he took it black.

Sam was sitting at the breakfast bar, sipping her coffee and scrolling through her phone, when Aero emerged, wearing the same clothes from the day before, and took the stool beside her.

“You could leave some clothes here,” Sam said, slapping a hand over her mouth as soon as she said it. That was crazy. They’d only been seeing each other for a few weeks.

“Okay,” he agreed, and she stared at him with wide eyes.

“Really?” she asked, and he nodded.

“Good.” Sam smiled into her mug. “Do you want sugar? Creamer? Anything?”

Aero shook his head.
