After gathering my and Sunny’s food, I headed back into the common room to find Logic sitting on the floor next to Sunny.

Seeing her still sleeping, I placed her food on the small table next to the sofa before I sat on the floor next to Logic.

“It’s different here,” he said, looking around as brothers found a place to sit and eat. “More relaxed. Thought with this club’s history, it would be more, ya know?”

Shrugging, I took a bite of my hamburger.

“But it’s not always been this way, has it?”

Swallowing, I shook my head.

Logic looked over his shoulder at Sunny and whispered, “She’s like me. You know that don’t you?”

I sighed, nodding.

“She sees everything, too.”

“I know.”

“Be careful with her, Solomon. She has a gentle nature. I fear this life will destroy her. Have you told her the truth about you?”

“No.”

“She can handle it. Tell her.”

“Don’t want to scare her.”

“It’s the fear of the unknown that scares most people. You need to tell her what happened to you, so she fully understands.”

“Don’t want her to leave me.”

Logic grinned, bumping his shoulder against mine. “She won’t.”

Out of all the brothers in the Disturbed MC, I was closest with Logic. It was nice having him next to me again.

Chapter Twenty

Bullseye

“Truth time,” I said, sitting forward as everyone gathered around the table. After Hawk ordered Sandman out of the room, I knew something bigger was going on.

Sandman was on a hair trigger and I wasn’t the only one who saw it. Anything could set him off. Barely hanging on, his desire for bloodshed rode him hard. But so did his need to protect Sunny, who was the only person in the club who could quell his bloodlust. Seeing him ready to blow, I didn’t hesitate to send Stella a text and have her bring Sunny into church. We all knew that Sunny was the only fucking person who could calm our raging brother.

Upon seeing her, he did just as I expected, as he moved to protect her. The second she entered the room we all saw him take a breath. Even Hawk sent me a look of gratitude, knowing what I had done.

That motherfucker saw everything.

With Sunny firmly at his side, Hawk explained how Sandman came to Disturbed MC and why they believe he left. While Sandman didn’t utter a word during that time, I could see it bothered him. Sandman was an extremely private brother and only spoke when he had something to say, which wasn’t very often. Though he was opening up more, thanks to Sunny, our brother still held his past close to his vest.

Knowing when Sandman took Sunny and Soleil upstairs, and that they wouldn’t wake until morning, I gathered the officers and set the real meeting for the wee hours of the morning.

“What the fuck is going on?”

“It’s worse than I let on,” Indigo said, taking the lead. “I was telling the truth when I said Scab is a wanted man and the Satan’s Angels have bounties out on the club, but I glossed over what they are after. They want Solomon.”

“Why him specifically?” Phantom asked.

“Because of who he is. With Reaper out of the picture, they believe if they can take out Solomon, then the rest of you will fall.”
