“Gotta say, kid, you sure did fill out.”

“Indigo, don’t antagonize him,” Logic said, looking at me. “He’s not the boy you remember.”

“Whatever,” Indigo huffed before addressing the room. “Scab is a wanted man in five states. His name came across my desk with a bounty of five million, dead or alive. I prefer the dead kind, ‘cause they won’t fight me when I hand them over, but the fucker is slippery. He was born and raised in these godforsaken mountains. He’s been hard to find until he fucked up a few months ago when I learned he raped a woman in Chattanooga. Left her for dead. I picked up his trail from there. Shocked the hell out of me when I saw the fine piece he was staking out. Have to admit man, your woman is a fine piece of ass.”

I stepped forward.

Slaughter and Ravage both jumped to their feet, stopping me.

“Take a breath, brother,” Slaughter whispered lowly.

“He ain’t worth it,” Ravage added as Logic stood, walking towards me. Backing up, I shook my head as I sank back into the shadows. Slaughter and Ravage both looked at Logic but did nothing, as Logic was unarmed.

Logic never carried.

He didn’t have to.

He was deadly all on his own.

Standing before me, I stared once more into his fathomless ice-cold blue eyes as he searched for what I kept hidden. Whatever he saw this time had his eyes widening as he stepped back and clearly said, “Indigo, last warning. Leave Solomon alone. He’s gone dark.”

“Logic, take him out of the room,” Hawk ordered.

“Hey, wait a damn minute,” Savage shouted. “You can’t come into our house and start ordering everyone around. Got mad respect for what you did in the military, but this ain’t the fucking military anymore. Sandman is a patched brother in the Golden Skulls. He has every right to stay and listen.”

“Logic,” Hawk growled.

The second Logic moved towards me several things happened at once. Slaughter and Ravage stepped in front of me, as Bullseye and Savage both pulled their weapons and pointed them at Hawk as the church door slammed open.

The air in the room evaporated as everyone held their breath as Sunny stood, leaning on her crutches, looking at everyone.

Moving fast, I gathered her in my arms.

“Sweetheart, you can’t be in here,” Bullseye carefully said, refusing to put his gun away.

“I’m not leaving,” my woman said firmly. “I don’t care what the rules are. I’m not leaving Soloman alone with all of you.”

Hawk smirked, shaking his head. “Got a good woman there, son.”

“Mine,” I growled.

Sighing, Hawk nodded. “Let her stay. She needs to hear this too. Logic, take a seat, and Indigo, you piss him off, I’m going to let him have a swing at you.”

Slowly, Bullseye and Savage put their weapons away as the rest of my brothers returned to their seats. Taking a chair at the end of the table, I gathered Sunny in my lap as Slaughter and Ravage took the chairs next to us.

“I’ll start at the beginning,” Hawk said. “Solomon was sixteen when he wandered onto Disturbed land...”

By the time church let out, Sunny was asleep in my arms. I didn’t mind. I liked holding her, especially when she snuggled close to me like she was doing now.

Holding her closely, I stood as Logic rushed over to grab her crutches and Indigo held open the door.

“Sorry, brother,” he whispered as I walked past, only to stop and look at him. “I meant no disrespect. Forgive me.”

I nodded before heading out into the common room.

“Sandman, put Sunny on the couch,” Stella ordered. “Dinner is ready. We don’t stand on ceremony in this club so everyone grab a plate and eat. The kids have already eaten and are now out back with the ol’ ladies. Brothers of Disturbed, my name is Stella. I run the clubhouse. My old man is Digger. Fuck with me and he will blow your asses to smithereens and smile doing it. Any of you need anything, just ask.”

After laying Sunny on the couch, we all filtered into the kitchen, where we all grabbed a plate. Stella outdid herself with the spread, as there were piles of steaks, hamburgers, ribs, and pulled pork. Several side dishes, along with two gigantic bowls of salad, were quickly disappearing. Stella even baked several pies and a few cakes, one of which was a chocolate cake I knew Sunny would love.
