“That bitch still in the clubhouse?” Remi asked, glaring at Reaper.

“She’s just a whore, baby. Doesn’t mean shit.”

“I told you, Max. As long as those women are in the clubhouse, the kids and I will never step foot in there. You did this. Only you can fix it.”

He groaned. “You don’t understand.”

“No, I don’t because you won’t talk to me.”

“And I told you I can’t. It’s...”

“Club business,” Remi sneered furiously. “Got it. You’ve been crystal clear. You’ve made your decision and I’ve made mine. Now leave.”

Reaper glared at the love of his life and growled, “Fuck this shit. I’m done.” Stumbling back the way he came, the front door slammed shut as Remi heavily sighed, turning on her booted foot, walking away.

“You two go. Have a good time,” Ghost muttered. “I’ll take care of this.”

Sighing, I took Sunny’s hand in mine as we both walked out of Remi’s house. I hated the tension in the clubhouse. I hated those women and the divide they created. But most importantly, I hated that Reaper was hurting Remi.

Getting on my bike, Sunny climbed on behind me, holding me tight as I slowly pulled out of the compound. I wanted to get her away from all the shit that had been building for months. The tension in the clubhouse was so thick, it suffocated me.

I needed to breathe again.

To see the stars and listen to the trees.

To forget everything and just be with my Sunshine.

Riding with my Sunshine on the back of my bike was hands down one of the best feelings ever. With her arms holding me, she pressed herself close, the darkness inside me receded deep, allowing everything to disappear but us.

Just my Sunshine and me.

I didn’t know how long we rode, but as time went by, the tension inside me eased. This was what I needed most. The open road, the wind on my face, and the love of my life with me.

There was never a more perfect moment than this, I thought as the first raindrop hit my face.

We were soaked by the time I pulled into the compound.

Hearing nothing but silence, I took her hand in mine and was about to walk her to our little cabin when she stopped me. “I need to get something out of our room upstairs.”

Nodding, I followed her inside the clubhouse, thankful the place was empty. Most of the married brothers stayed in their own homes now, rarely entering the clubhouse unless there was a meeting. As for the single brothers, well, they too avoided the place unless something was required of them. The clubhouse looked more like a ghost town than a place where brothers laughed, drank and enjoyed themselves.

Ushering Sunny upstairs, she walked into our former room as I shut the door behind us, locking it. I wasn’t taking any chances where she was concerned.

“You think I have time to change?”

I nodded as she smirked, kicking off her wet boots.

“You better get out of those wet clothes too, Solomon.”

Doing as she said, I removed my boots as I saw her reach for the hem of her shirt, lifting it over her head. That’s when something I never felt before rushed forward. My body tingled, as if awoken from a long slumber. I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

Her beauty left me breathless.

Her skin looked so soft as I watched a drop of water run down between her breasts.

I gasped as my body tightened painfully.

Sunny’s head snapped to mine.
