Page 21 of His Perfect Gift

“That was just a few warning taps.” I took the jacket from her hand and draped it over her. “Don’t disobey me again. Now go.”

“I’ll leave my door unlocked.” She smirked, dragging her blunt nail under my chin as she passed by me. Like I said, this girl was going to potentially destroy me. Standing in the corridor, I watched as she exited through the door to the waiting black Escalade.

Satisfied that she was on her way home this time, I pivoted and headed to the ballroom. Janet was tapping her foot, checking her cell by the thirty-foot Christmas tree, where several other prominent donors were beginning to gather around. Another perfect photo op.

I spent a few minutes talking to some of the people, giving my thanks and asking about their families, trying to be the perfect host. I glanced over to see the photographer was moving around his equipment and adjusting his lighting.

“Where’s your jacket?” Janet frowned as she approached me.

“Uh, it was hot, and I took it off. I don’t remember where I left it.”

“No worries.” She smoothed out my shirt and told me where to stand among the group of people before leaving me to talk to the photographer again.

My phone was burning a hole in my pocket, and as we waited, I pulled it out to see if there was an update. This photo op was taking too damn long.

Amber:I made it home.

“All right. I need everyone to squeeze in and look festive,” the photographer called out from behind his camera.

I was about to put my phone away when it hummed in my hand. I glanced down and checked.

Amber:Thanks for the jacket.

A picture popped up of her. In my tuxedo jacket. With nothing else on.

“Fuck me,” I groaned, and an elderly woman in front of me turned her head, scowling at me. Click… the flash nearly blinded me.

“That’s it. Just a few more.” The photographer raised a finger. A few more turned into what seemed like a hundred more. I tugged at my collar in annoyance, trying to keep my composure.

Finally, we finished, and I was at my limit of being the perfect host. This is it, I vowed, with only one mission on my mind. I headed toward the exit. Janet was quick to follow on my heels, trying to grab my attention.

“Just a few more photos.”

“No. I’m done for the evening.” I scowled. I sounded like an asshole, so I tried to rein it in. “It’s been a long, successful evening, and I’m spent. Could you handle this and send my regards?”

“Yes. Of course.” She nodded with a small smile. “Have a nice evening, Mr. Thomas.”

Moving forward, I waved casually behind me. “You, too.”

I didn’t stop until I was outside, in front of the hotel. I opened up her message again and stared, giving myself time to savor the photo she sent. My coat draped over her shoulders and was held together by one button. The lapels hugged the outer curves of her tits, exposing her nipples and areolas, not covering anything, and the outline of her shaved pussy peaked out beneath the coat where it parted.

I texted Ben to pick me up. Again, that thrill of anticipation rolled through my body like I was about to close on a big contract. Was I really going to seek her out? Tonight? And if I did, what would I do? Certainly not hang out and play chess.

Go home. I should go home. I will go home.

Another text came through from Amber.

Amber:No response?

Ben pulled up in the SUV. How easy it would be to give the order to take me to her place.

I won’t fuck her tonight.

My fingers started to move, responding to her text. I needed to check on her.

However, my cell flashed, and it was a video call from Bill. Fuck. Why was he calling?

I answered, “Bill.”
