I love that tone. I groan and push back against him.

“I’m cooking, Darion.”

“I can see that. Can you multitask?”

I open my mouth to argue, but he pulls up my dress and slides his fingers between my thighs. I part them automatically. My head falls back on his shoulder as he pumps his fingers into me.

“Darion,” I whine.

“So wet and tight and needy. My poor neglected omega.” Darion purrs darkly. He pulls his fingers out. “But don’t worry, I’ve got what you need.”

I’m wanton for them. I can’t get enough, and there’s nothing that we’ve done that I don’t want to repeat a hundred times or more. My body responds to their touches without conscious thought.

Seb comes out and tugs me away from Darion. He’s already dressed and showered, and his scent makes my mouth water. I lean into him and almost swoon when he kisses my forehead. “Nope, we don’t have time for that, Darion.”

I whine, but Darion laughs, leaning closer and pressing his lips to my ear.

“Don’t worry, I’ll kiss it better when Seb’s gone.”

I go back to cooking. Turning the bacon and cracking eggs into a pan. Lukas comes out towel drying his hair and leans against my back. Completely naked. I’ve already missed the pan with one of the eggs and have to reach for a paper towel to clean it up. His lips caress my neck, sending a shiver up my spine.

“Good morning,” he purrs, grinding his erection against my ass. I miss the pan with the second egg and curse.

“Morning, Lukas.” My voice is husky and breathy. I redouble my efforts on focusing on not burning the bacon.

“Are you ready for today?”

Darion mouths something that I pretend not to see. He leans down and licks my jawline from beside me. “I can think of better ways to spend this morning.”

“We could just be a little late…” I stare at his ass as Darion walks down the hallway.

“No, we can’t!” Seb says from the table.

Lukas shakes his head and puts a plate down on the bench. He takes the tongs from my hands and takes over cooking the food.

I love these times in the morning before the day's struggles press on our minds, when we are just happy to be with each other.

Seb pulls me onto his thigh at the kitchen table. He scans his tablet and swipes, pulling up another news article. I lean into my big alpha and inhale his scent. He holds bacon up to me and waits until I open my mouth.

“How come you get to feed her?” Lukas grumbles.

I chew on the bacon and study Darion. He’s reading a file in front of him with a frown.

“Do you need to work?” I try to hide my disappointment.

He looks up. “No, but we need to stop in the office. It shouldn’t take a moment, though.”

Darion has been calmer since my heat. Something in him has settled. He still gets moments of distance or tension. During those times, I give him space and wait for him to come to me. He’s affectionate and logical, but he’s not good with his emotions, and when faced with having to confront it, he is as brutal on himself as he is with others.

I find myself fascinated with him, watching how he engages with his employees, how hard he pushes himself. He is dedicated and obsessive, determined and honest.

He makes my heart pound double time with just a glance.

Ava grabs me as soon as we get to the office, pulling me into a hug. “So, where are you going on date day?”

I laugh. “I don’t know.”

We’ve become really close, and she’s been showing me the ins and outs of the business. We go out for lunch every day, and for the first time in a long time, I’ve got a female friend. Ava shoulders me and jerks a nod towards the door. I stand up and catch sight of Scarlet coming into the building.
