“Yes.”

His lips tighten into a painfully thin line, and he watches me intently.

“Yes, sir,” I say after his glare becomes even more intense.

He smirks and stares down at my lips which are so chapped they hurt along with everything else.

“Are you going to behave, Savannah?” I give him a defiant look, the need to disobey him strong.

“Yes, sir,” he says, eyeing me with a warning.

“Yes, sir.” My throat scratches as I say those words.

“Good girl.” He unchains my right arm, and it falls loosely at my side. The pain in my shoulder screams as it finally falls.

Once my left is the same, I try to lift them to my lap, but nothing. They are so heavy I can’t feel them. They just flop back to my sides as I stare at my lap and more tears freely fall. My legs ache even though they have been stretched out in front of me. My bottom is numb from sitting on it for so long and I feel like I need to vomit.

“Say thank you,” he asks darkly as I regard him.

“T-thank you, sir,” I manage to bite out.

“I could have punished you far worse, I’d say you were lucky.”

Lucky, I doubt it.

Jacob wraps his arms around me, and I fall to his chest not having the energy to fight him.

“Please,” I whimper as he lifts me.

“Can’t have you passing out, kitten. You’ll miss all the fun,” he murmurs.

He lets my legs go, and I stumble against him, forcing him to hold me up using one arm.

“On your knees,” he demands.

“I know you don’t want to do this.” My voice shakes as I finally get more than a word out. Tears fall down my cheeks as I watch him; he stays silent.Time stands still as he watches me, I tried I really did, but I failed to read which way his thoughts were going. I watch the rhythmic tic of his jaw that is covered in a few days' stubble as his hands move over my face. His eyes venture toward mine, just slightly.

“Please just let me go. I don’t know what I did.” I cry as he pushes me down using his hand.

“Please, I won’t say anything, just let me go,” I plead with him.

“Blame your father,” is all he says as he continues to push me to my knees.

“Why?” I swallow as his eyes finally meet mine. His pupils are black and dilated with a look that tells me he’d rather see my blood spill from my torso than keep me alive. So why does he?

“I hate you, just kill me already,” I spit. I wish he would, I wish he’d just end things now.

He grips my chin and forces me forward as his eyes darken, he leans in close and whispers.

“Be careful, kitten. You might not like what you unleash.”

He shoves me back and I almost fall back, but somehow catch myself.

“I already told you, you’re mine, kitten. There is no going back unless it’s in a body bag.”

I swallow the lump in my throat. Is he really going to kill me?

“I’ll run.” I side-eye him and he just shakes his head and laughs.
