He wants to sit back up but I just grin and force him back down as I tease him. He squints his eyes at me and says, “You are killing me.”
I just smile and continue to play with him, one hand behind my back.

His good guy act is getting easier to swallow.
The rain stopped by the end of the day, but the water only lowered during the night, and we spend most of that time talking.
However, when he wants to talk about the status of our relationship, I feel my walls go up again.

Icallthecountryclub’s front desk first thing in the morning to let them know I used a cabin and that it needs repairs. Harlan had been safely looked after by Bella.
I can’t get Liv out of my mind. That night with her was incredible. But she shut down fast when I told her I wanted to be in a relationship with her. Maybe I’m rushing things, but I’m left feeling frustrated.
