"I hate this," Vlad says as he enters the room.

"I know you do, but we have no choice. This has to be done."

"I don't want you in danger. What if your father sees us coming and goes for you?"

"He won't," I say, turning to him. “This is all planned out. We can’t stop now.”

"You don't know that. I can’t take the thought of you in danger again."

“It’s a chance I’m willing to take, Vlad,” I said, my voice filled with determination, the sound echoing through the dimly lit room. The scent of cigarette smoke lingered in the air, mingling with the faint smell of coffee. I looked into his eyes, my own filled with a mix of fear and resolve. “We need this, and so does the city. I have a strong intuition that something is about to happen, and I fear that the Bratva and the mob are on the brink of war.” The room felt heavy with tension, the silence broken only by the distant sounds of sirens wailing in the night. “If we can prevent it, then we absolutely must.”

Vlad’s face softened, his eyes filled with worry. “You are the most important thing in my life and I won’t have you hurt,” he whispered, his voice barely audible over the city’s restless hum. I reached out and took his hand, the warmth of his touch providing a sense of comfort amidst the uncertainty.

“I am strong, Vlad,” I said firmly, my voice filled with conviction. “Stronger than you give me credit for. And you will have my back and support me. But this is something I have to do. Don’t you understand?” The room seemed to close in on us, the walls suffocatingly close, as if reflecting our shared apprehension.

He nodded, his grip tightening around my hand. “I do, and I will always have your back and support you,” he replied, his voice tinged with a hint of vulnerability. “But I am afraid to lose you. I don’t think I would survive it.” The weight of his words hung in the air, the gravity of their situation palpable.

“Thank you, my love, my protector,” I say as I wrap my arms around his neck. “I love you, Vlad, my King.”

“And I love you,” he responds, his voice filled with sincerity. “You are my queen, the reason I exist.”

“You are my rock, the only man I trust with my heart,” I confess, feeling the depth of my emotions.

“I would do anything for you, my Queen,” he declares before kissing me passionately.

“We should get going,” I suggest, breaking away reluctantly. “The plans are being set in motion as we speak.”

He nods in agreement. “Let’s do this.” As we leave the bedroom, we find a team waiting for us.

“Rose, Vlad, good,” one of them addresses us. “I was coming to get you. We are all ready. Everyone is in position. We are waiting for your command.”

“Good,” I respond firmly. “Let’s move out.”

As everyone piled into the sleek, black SUV, the engine roared to life, its deep rumble vibrating through the seats. My heart thudded against my chest, its rapid beats creating a symphony of anticipation and nerves. The mix of anxiety and excitement danced within me, threatening to consume my senses.

We embarked on the journey; the wheels gliding smoothly over the asphalt, creating a gentle hum that filled the air. The passing scenery blurred outside the tinted windows, a whirlwind of colors and shapes. It felt as though we had been driving forever, until finally, we were just a block away from our destination.

With utmost caution, the SUV was skillfully maneuvered into a hidden spot, shielded from prying eyes. We sat in silence, waiting for the signal that would ignite the next phase of our operation. In the midst of the suspense, I couldn’t help but voice my concerns.

“Do we have any visual surveillance inside?”

Assuredly, a response came, “Yes, our men are strategically positioned. Aldo and the Don are present. They have three guards stationed within the house, while they scattered the others across the property.” The words echoed in my mind, intensifying the anticipation that coursed through my veins.

My breathing quickened, a rush of exhilaration and nervousness intertwining. Seeking solace, I reached out and grasped Vlad’s hand, finding comfort in his presence.

Then, in an instant, chaos erupted. An explosion shattered the stillness, its deafening blast reverberating through the air from the direction of the docks. The brightness that followed was blinding, illuminating the night sky even from our distant vantage point.

Alarms wailed, their shrill cries piercing the air. Men streamed out of the gates, their urgency propelling them towards the source of the explosion. The plan was unfolding flawlessly, every piece falling into place.

With a surge of determination, we exited the car, our footsteps crunching on the gravel as we advanced towards the house. The scent of smoke hung in the air, mingling with the adrenaline that surged through our bodies.

"Ready, my love?"

"Always," he says and kisses me deeply.

We sprinted up the driveway, just as the front doors were blown off their hinges. The guards quickly approached, their faces filled with surprise. I’m certain they don’t recognize me, but the men accompanying me are easily identifiable. Stepping over the shattered door pieces, I confidently stride forward with a gun in hand. As I make my way through the billowing smoke, I briefly ponder if I appear as fearless as I feel, dressed in a dress and high heels.

"Don Vinci, I am here for you," I say in a powerful voice as I enter the house. I motion to the men. "You should probably drop your weapons and lie down on the ground. I would rather not have to kill everyone."
