He pulled her in his arms and rested his chin on top of her head. “I’m fine, honest.”

She pushed to her toes and pecked his lips, looking relieved. “This day has been perfect.”

“It has. Raashi and Aisha have been wonderful in organizing everything with Sabrina.”

The two women had taken it upon themselves to arrange their wedding and reception, and they’d done a splendid job. Even now, the two of them were on their toes, ensuring everything was going smoothly.

Jiya looked in their direction. “They’ve been great.”

Her lips curved, and her expression softened. She ran a finger down the side of his face. He put his arms around her waist and pulled her to his chest, breathing in her special scent. They stood like that for a few minutes.

Soon after Jiya had proposed to him, Rohan had whisked her off to Delhi and to his home. He’d finally slept properly again with her in his arms. His insomnia was a thing of the past now.

Jiya had even returned to work at FF. His woman was brilliant. One day, he was certain, she’d head the FF team and his entire finance department. But, for now, she was happy in her previous position. His heart was finally at peace, knowing she was back where she belonged.

“I have to go meet our guests,” Jiya finally said.

“Do you have to?” Rohan asked. “Can we not disappear? No one will notice, I’m sure.”

She laughed, the sound warming his heart. “You think no one will notice that the bride and groom have gone missing?”

He made a face, reluctantly releasing her.

She took his hand in hers. “Join me when you feel you can again.”

“I’m fine, Jiya, really.”

“Nonetheless, take your time. Breathe some more. I think everyone plans to celebrate late into the night, and I want to dance with my husband.”

He watched her as she left him and made her way back into the crowd.

“Stop staring at your wife, you fool.”

Rohan turned on hearing his twin’s voice.

“He is a fool…in love,” Sameer added from Rithwik’s side.

“All of us tend to be fools in love,” Kabier said, his eyes tracking his own wife.

“True!” Sameer tipped his head at Rohan. “But it’s more fun seeing him be a fool. Miracles do happen, so it seems.”

“I suppose it’s true,” Kabier added. “The men that resist love the hardest tend to fall in love the hardest too. Rohan is a brilliant example of that.”

Rithwik laughed, agreeing with them as usual. The idiot.

Rohan made a face at their friendly ribbing. So easily they’d included him in their set.

“I’ve just started liking you all…” Rohan muttered under his breath. “Don’t make me regret it.”

Sameer chuckled. “Unfortunately for you, the woman you love cares about all of us very much. Hence, you have no choice but to deal with us. All of us.” He splayed his hand out, encompassing all their family and friends.

Everyone had come from far and near to attend his wedding and the reception. Kabier’s sister, Sheena, and her husband had come from Dubai along with their Dubai friends, the four Rajpoot siblings and Dev Luthra. They were all close to Kabier’s sister, Sheena, and her husband, Rajiv. Recently, the Rajpoots had started making more trips to India now that they were no longer in hiding. Consequently, they’d become close to Sheena and Rajiv’s friends and family in India and were now more like an extended family than just friends.

Rohan had heard their story in the past from Rithwik and met them all earlier, although he was better acquainted with Dev, with whom he had common business contacts. Rithwik’s friend, Damien, the Duke of Kittridge, and his wife, Aaliya, were also in attendance. Aditya was here as well, and surprisingly, he’d brought Kanika as his plus one.

He looked at them all, and finally, his eyes returned to Jiya, like always.

Seeing where his attention was, Rithwik put his arm around his shoulder. “Tell me you wouldn’t lay the world at her feet if you could?!”
