“I’d definitely try.”

“Good. Because that means I will see a whole lot of you socially. I’m hosting a dinner next week to celebrate my brother finally getting hitched.”

Rohan groaned. “Do you really have to?”

“I’ve made it my mission to help you get comfortable in our group of friends. So, you will be seeing a lot of us, a lot of the time.”

At one time, this would have been a cause of great discomfort to Rohan, but now he welcomed it. They all were trying to include him in their midst, and he wanted to reciprocate.

“Okay then, I’ll be there,” Rohan said warmly. His eyes returned to Jiya, and he found her walking away from the crowd and into the stables. He smiled, thinking of who she was going to meet.

He turned to Kabier and Sameer. “Thank you for your support that day. You guys stood by me when you didn’t need to. You were ready to battle your wives for me, and I appreciate that.”

Kabier shrugged. “We all needed closure on your silly and childish squabble with our women.”

Sameer nodded. “Besides, Kabier and I had talked about it in the past, and we knew there were two sides to the story. Our wives mean the world to us, but that doesn’t mean they’re right all the time.”

“And, of course, they wouldn’t want to lose me ever,” Rithwik said smugly. “I threatened them with that if you all remember. They all love me.”

Sameer rolled his eyes. “No, we don’t.”

“Oh, you do,” Rithwik said. “I think the exact words you used were‘Rithwik is the glue that binds us all together’.”

“And I’m regretting it already,” Sameer tossed back.

Rithwik gave him a sugary smile. “You can never take it back now. And I will remind you of this each time you behave like a dick to me.”

Sameer swore loudly, walking away. Rithwik followed him, and the two of them continued to bicker. Rohan smiled, watching them.

“Are Sameer and Rithwik at it again?” Aditya asked, coming to stand beside Rohan. Things were perfectly fine between them. Rohan was thankful for Aditya’s role in getting Jiya and him together. Aditya was a good person and was now his friend too.

“Somethings will never change, I suppose,” Kabier replied.

Aditya laughed. “It is our constant source of entertainment.”

“I’m sure it is,” Rohan said. “Those two share a love-hate relationship like no other.”

“True,” Kabier replied.

“By the way, the food is beyond excellent,” Aditya praised. He looked around. “In fact, everything is fabulous.”

“It’s all been organized by Sabrina,” Rohan replied. “She’s fantastic, and I can’t thank her enough for putting this evening together.”

Aditya smiled, looking in Sabrina’s direction. “I have to praise her then. Her catering and event management business seems to be doing great. I ought to hire her for one of my events soon.”

“You should,” Kabier encouraged. “She’s gained a lot of popularity in the last few years.”

Rohan faced Aditya. “What’s up with Kanika and you?”

Aditya shrugged. “It’s something.”

Rohan shared a surprised look with Kabier. He’d figured something was up when Aditya had showed up with Kanika, but hearing him admit there was something going on was quite shocking. Aditya was a known playboy and not one to settle down.

“Really?” Rohan asked.

Aditya shrugged. “It’s too early to tell, but there are times I feel the urge to settle down.”

“You do?” Kabier asked.
