“Alright,” Rajiv accepted. “I have a condition, too, then. If I win, you will stay the fuck away from Navya. I never want to see you within an inch of her, ever. In fact, I want you all to stay away from my sisters. That is non-negotiable.”

Armaan’s lips curved. “And if I win, I get to spend one night with Navya.”

One second, Rajiv was by her side and in the next, he’d pinned Armaan to the wall, his arm pressed to his neck.

“You bastard,” Rajiv roared. “Talk about my sister, and I will kill you.”

Armaan laughed in response. Mad. All of these men were mad. Fuck. This, what was happening here, was way out of the realm of her imagination.

“Enough,” Mihir stormed. He muttered something in Russian, and Armaan threw his hands up in surrender.

Rajiv released him, but his furious gaze remained on him.

“We fight next Saturday, at midnight,” Armaan said. “You have a sports club, I believe.”

Rajiv didn’t even reply to him. He addressed Mihir. “Now that all our negotiations have concluded, I will take my leave. I think my chopper must be back by now.”

And without another word to the three men, Rajiv took her away from them. Within minutes, he’d strapped her into the chopper, and they were airborne.

A black Toyota SUV was waiting for them when they landed. A smartly dressed man stepped out.

He studied Rajiv thoroughly. “You okay?”

“Yes. Navya?” Rajiv asked.

The other man nodded. “Safe at home.”

His sharp gaze fell on Sheena and she came under his intense perusal.

Rajiv cleared his throat, and something unspoken passed between them. Rajiv helped her into the back seat and joined the man in the front passenger seat. The car took off soon after.

Sheena fell back against the headrest, allowing all the emotions she was feeling to finally flow through her. She finally let go of all the fear that had held her in its vice-like grip. She was out of danger and safe. But her heart… That still hurt like a gaping wound.

She was immensely grateful to Rajiv that he had saved her the way he had. But she was way too hurt by him as well. He had put up a show in front of those men. Here, she’d been thinking that he was regretting his time away from her. But clearly, that wasn’t the case.

He didn’t want her the way she wanted him. She was definitely out of one danger, but she was headed toward a bigger danger if she did not manage to control what she felt for him, especially when she was around him.

Great, simply great. Of all the men she had to be drawn to, it had to be the one who’d kissed her the first time out of pity, the second time because of an adrenaline rush, the third time he clearly regretted, and the fourth time out of necessity.

Fuck her life.

The car whizzed past the nearly silent streets. Dubai never really slept, and there were always enough cars on the road no matter the time. Rajiv put a weary hand on his aching neck. Fuck. Today had been too long, and tonight had been even longer.

He’d just finished talking to his sisters. They were both shaken up, but they were safe. Tonight, he’d let them be, but tomorrow, they’d need to have a talk. Trespassing on the Oshnovs’ yacht had been sheer stupidity. And to involve Sheena in it? What were they thinking? He’d let them run wild for too long, but no more. Their actions would have consequences. The Oshnovs wouldn’t forget this incident easily. And that guy, Armaan… The way he’d looked at Navya... Even thinking about it made Rajiv’s blood boil. He sucked in a breath. He’d deal with his sisters tomorrow. Tonight, he just wanted to drop Sheena home, and then get some much-needed sleep. He was plain exhausted right now.

He inhaled, and Sheena’s soft scent drifted over him. He was covered by it. His mind went back to their moments on the yacht. He couldn’t help but recall in vivid detail the way Sheena had responded to him. Her soft moans, her sweet kisses, her delicious scent. Just thinking about the way she’d melted into him was enough to put his body to attention. He couldn’t even say with certainty that he would have been able to halt what they had been doing, had the Oshnovs not entered when they had.

God, he’d thought he’d be able to stay away from her, that putting a little distance between them would stop the yearning in his heart that came to raging life when she was near. Not that he’d felt any different when she was away. On those times, he’d longed to tease her. To see the spark of annoyance flare on her face, to see the passion erupt in her eyes for him. To see her smile.

He was doomed. He was in love with her, and he didn’t know what to do about it. Every plan he’d made in regard to that had failed so far. He yearned for her. He longed to have her in his arms and explore her and this craving she’d ignited inside him. He longed to bury himself inside her and claim her fully. He longed to… Fuck! He was an idiot to be longing like this.

“Are you okay?” Aaryan asked softly.

He sighed. “Yeah.”

“Do you want to talk about it?” Aaryan looked in the rear-view mirror and frowned.
