I run my hands down my face. I am an idiot. I shouldn’t have let her out of my sight. I should have known she would do something to get herself in a mess. She probably thinks it’s a game to put herself in danger. Anger wrecks through my body. I take a deep breath. “Where is Jai?”

“He is out of town for a conference.” She wails.

“Give me the address.”

She wipes her cheeks with the back of her hand as she tells me his address.

I nod my head and speak, “I am going to get Alisha. I’ll ask one of my bodyguards to keep a check on you.”

“I’m so sorry,” she whispers.

“Call me if there is anything,” I say before I march out of the room to my car.

On the way, I dial Ajay’s number, and he picks up on the first ring.

“She left the hospital hours back,” I bark at him.

“How is it possible? I didn’t leave the premises even for a minute,” he sounds confused.

“She fooled you. And I pay you to give me information on my wife, and not the other way around.” The rebuke in my voice is enough to bring anyone to tears.

“I am sorry, Sir. Give me….” He is about to speak when I cut him off abruptly.

I want to take him to task right away and better yet fire him, but I don’t. Right now, that doesn’t matter. Reaching my wife is the only priority.

“I am sending you the location. I want you there,” I end the call as I type in Jai’s location on my GPS.

I know Alisha well enough; she will not leave till she doesn’t get what she is looking for. That’s the reason I asked Ajay to reach the location so that he can get the evidence that the girls want while I bring Alisha, home with me.

I make it to his house in record time and spot Alisha’s car in the parking lot. Panic and relief light inside me. Wasting no time, I head straight for the front door. I reach for the handle and turn. The moment I slip inside, a scream rips through the air. Fear like I have never felt before fills me.

I bolt toward the sound, climbing two steps at a time. In a flash, I kick at the bedroom door. Rage fills me at the sight. Jai is forcing himself on Alisha. His head jerks up and his eyes go wide when he sees me.

“Ranveer...” She sobs my name, tears streaming down her cheeks.

My feet carry me to them in a fraction of second, and I rip that bastard off Alisha, tackling him to the floor.

“I will kill you, motherfucker.” I yell as my hands collide with his face. “How dare you touch my wife!” I grit my teeth as I continue to punch him with all my strength. Blood gushes out of his mouth, but I don’t stop. “You piece of shit! You are going to pay for hurting my wife,” I growl.

Fucking bastard! Hehas signed his own death warrant.Alisha’s teary face flashes in front of my eyes as I continue to punch him.

“Ranveer,” Alisha calls out.

On hearing my name, my anger is replaced with concern as I rush over and clear the space between us. She is still sitting on the bed with her legs pulled to her chest and crying.

“Sweetheart,”I murmur, sitting beside her and pulling her into me, needing reassurance she’s okay.

She wraps her hands around my neck and clings to me like her life depends on me. “Youcame,”she sobs and I feel my heart clench. Something shatters inside me to see her cry and look so desolate.

“You okay?” I ask as I pull from the hug and start to check her over.

“Yes.” She rests her head on my chest.

Thank God.I sigh in relief as I pull her closer to me. I don’t even realise when Ajay comes and drags Jai out of the room. I will make sure he suffers the consequences. He dared to destroy my life. It’s something which I won’t let go. There is absolutely no forgiveness. My world exploded when I saw how that bastard pinned her to the bed. I was seconds away from killing him.

Pushing the thoughts away, I concentrate on my wife, who is in my arms. I don’t think I will be able to let her go from my arms anytime soon.
