“How about we shower together? It will save us time,” she suggests, licking her lips in her tempting seductive manner which grates on my nerves.

“That’s not my style. I value my privacy and don’t like someone getting in that way.” My words hold double meaning. I am amazed at how I am able to reply to her in a low-pitched voice.

She frowns at me. “Are you kidding me?”

Shaking my head, I smirk at her. “Sorry, Sweetheart, but you need to see yourself out.”

Without giving her a second glance, I hop into the shower. I know I am being a jerk, but the reality is that I don’t believe in relationships. Period. The only thing I look for is a good fuck. And once I’m done, I want them gone. Before bringing anyone home, I make my intentions clear to them.No strings attached.

Letting out a breath, I continue with my hot shower. Once done, I wrap a towel around my waist and walk into the bedroom which is now empty. Good she left before creating any drama. With this headache killing me, I am not up for any puerile tantrum. God! How I hate this hangover and need to get rid of it. Coffee sounds like a life saviour. I stride into my kitchen to fix myself a cup of coffee before I get dressed. The moment I enter my kitchen, I see her standing there, dressed in her last night’s clothes with a cup of coffee in hand. Looks like a headache is not the only thing that I need to get rid of.

“Didn’t you hear when I said you need to be gone?” I ask in a serious tone.

“I did but I was hoping that….” she smiles seductively and bats her lashes before continuing, “Maybe you would change your mind. I promise I will make it worth it for you.”

She is so getting under my wick now. Does she think I don’t know what this is all about? “Look. When I said it was a one-night stand, I meant it. So, stop this drama of yours. And do you really want to spend your time with a guy who doesn’t even remember your name? Or is it my money that’s making you behave like a whore?” I bark at her. That’s the fact. My massive four-bedroom penthouse evokes a sense of unmistakable luxury.

“You are an asshole. I don’t even know why I bothered to stay through the night.” She raises her voice with an edge of irritation.

“What were you expecting? A wedding proposal?” She doesn’t answer but throws daggers at me. In a mocking tone, I continue, “You must be kidding me. You didn’t complain coming home with me with whom you were hardly acquainted for an hour. All it took was to buy you a drink to get into your pants. So please spare me your I-Am-Miss-Goody-Two-Shoe crap. And unlike you, I do have work to attend. So, if you don’t mind, just get the hell out of here.”

“To hell with you!” she yells as she walks to the door, steps out, and shuts it with a loud bang.

I roll my eyes and walk into the bedroom. It is the same damn conversationevery fucking single time. But I have no complaints, as it’s easy to get rid of such women. I bet any woman up to my liking would want more.

Stepping back into the bedroom, I start getting dressed as I want to stop at Starbucks on my way to the office.

I am the sole heir of Seth’s automobile giant. The company was started by my grandpa, after which my father took over. But when my dad and mom passed away, my grandpa took control back, and that’s the reason I did my master’s degree in Automobile engineering. After my studies, Grandpa took me under his wing and taught me the ins and outs of the business. He groomed me to take over his seat. However, he was not lenient, he pushed me as hard as he could. And the day I turned twenty-five, he gave me sole ownership. And I am proud to take the company to the peak of success. Our company is one of the best automobile companies in the world and the best in South Asia. I have all the success anyone can dream of. And having Grandpa through my journey was a blessing. I love my grandpa to the core, but five years back, I moved from my grandpa’s house to my penthouse. I wanted my space. And I am happy that he respected my decision. However, I make it a point to see him regularly.

???

After picking up my takeaway coffee, I am on the way to my office. Thirty minutes later, I pull my Black Audi at my usual spot in the basement. Sauntering towards the private elevator, I click the twenty-fifth-floor button; that’s where my office is. Within a matter of seconds, I hear the ding noise of the elevator, which lets me know I have reached my floor. I step out of the elevator and make my way towards my office.

“Good morning, Joey. Can you please update me my schedule for today?” I instruct my personal assistant as I walk past her desk and into my office.

“Right away, Sir.”

Taking my coat off, I take a seat behind my desk and log onto my laptop, pulling up the documents that I am working on to start a new branch in London.

“Here you go,” Joey says as she sets my day planner on my desk. She is a middle- aged woman, who has been working for the company ever since my grandpa was active. She is efficient at her work, thus I continued to keep her on the payroll.

“Thanks. Clear my schedule for twelve. I’m having lunch with my grandpa today. Also, I would like to have a proper look at the London Project. So, if there is anything that can wait, I would like it if I am not disturbed.”

“Noted, Mr Seth.” Her black eyes peer at me through her glasses.

“Thanks. That should be all for now.” I smile.

She nods and walks out of my office.

I absorb myself back into my work and don’t realise where the time flies while I analyse each detail minutely. This project would mean another feather in the cap of Seth Automobiles, and like every other project, I micro-manage till the plant is able to run on auto-pilot. I am immersed into my laptop, until my phone beeps with an alarm. That is when I notice the time. It is past eleven already. Shutting down my laptop, I grab my coat and walk out of my office. Hitting the button for the elevator, I take it down to the basement, where I parked my car this morning. I toss my coat onto the passenger side before getting behind the wheel as I kick-start the engine.

It takes me a good forty-five minutes’ drive to the restaurant while my mind is preoccupied with office matters. When I reach the restaurant, I climb out of my car and give the keys to the valet. After giving a curt nod to the staff who greets me, I head inside the five-star hotel where I have booked a table at their acclaimed multi-cuisine restaurant. As soon as I approach the entrance to the restaurant, a young manager ushers me to the table where Grandpa is waiting for me. As I saunter towards the table, I look around the restaurant, taking in the crisp white rich classy appearance. This is Grandpa and my favourite eating joint. And the best part is, it’s never too crowded.

I spot Grandpa at the table in the private area. He gives me the loving smile that he has been greeting me with my entire life. Walking over to him, I hug him before taking my seat opposite him.

“You are ten minutes late, my boy,” he points out.

“Sorry,Grandpa,I was caught up with work.”
