“Six,” I said, amused by his pragmatism in the midst of wild speculation.

“Hmm, plus an office for you and one for me.” He looked from me to Aithan. “What else?”

“Sex dungeon,” Aithan said around a chip, straight-faced as ever.

“I like how you think!” Drew crowed. “And a home theater for watching porn on the big screen.”

I stared at Aithan. “Donotencourage his madness, Mr. Mazur.”

“What? I was just being practical.”

“How is a sex dungeon practical?”

“He’s thinking ahead,” Drew answered. “Like going through your lingerie.”

“Right.” Aithan nodded, somehow managing to look innocent.

“Oh my God.” I covered my face with my hands. “What have I done?”

They cracked up and Drew pulled me over to sit on his lap. “Okay, no sex dungeon, but a basement that can be converted if the need, ahem, arises. Good compromise?”

I sighed and slowly shook my head. “Fine.” I met his gaze. “But I want a really nice kitchen.”

“And a gym.” Aithan sat back, making a face as the movement pulled bruised muscles and healing bones.

Drew added our suggestions to his growing list. “Yes to both.” He opened his browser and brought up my realtor’s site. “Now comes the fun part.” He grinned at us and cracked his knuckles. “Let’s go shopping.”

Aithan shook his head, a bemused smile on his lips. “Those are pipe dreams for me, man. I’d be happy with a one-bedroom condo right now.”

I went to the fridge and pulled out sweet potato biscuit dough.

“Because of your medical bills?” Drew said. “Already handled them, so you can dream away with the rest of us.”

I stopped unwrapping the dough and turned to stare at him.

“What?” Aithan’s blue eyes widened.

Drew sat back. “Look, don’t make a big deal out of it. I can afford it. I’d rather spend my money on a worthy cause, like your medical bills, than watch it be wasted on the crap my ex-girlfriend bought. She’s spent that much on handbags and fugly shoes. So, don’t mention it and don’t feel indebted to me. I fuckin’ hate that.”

“But—”

“Nope. You make Zel happy. I want to keep her that way. It’s all part of my master plan to stay on that fine woman’s good side so I can get in her pants as often as possible.”

Stunned, Aithan shook his head and blinked rapidly, clearly trying to process what he’d just heard. “I don’t understand. We hardly know each other. Why would you do that?”

I sucked in a deep breath. Drew’s generosity was well known to those of us in the industry. I wiped my hands on a towel, then went and kissed him. “You’re a good man, Drew Katterman. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”

Next, I caught Aithan’s chin and forced him to look at me. “Just accept the gift. Drew isn’t foolish with his money, even if Livi was. He doesn’t spend what he doesn’t have.”

He nodded. “Well, at least accept my gratitude and a lifetime of private training sessions.”

Drew’s face lit up. “Sweet! That’s a great trade!”

Aithan shook his head, his expression equal parts baffled and amused. I kissed his cheek then returned to the biscuits. The guys went back to house hunting.

I smiled as I cut and rolled dough. I had a few worries — Greer, and Tristan, and whoever had jumped Aithan — but my joys far outweighed them.

I glanced at my lovers. It seemed crazy that we’d only been together for a month. At the beginning of October, I was stuck in a dead-end relationship. But here we were in November and I had the confidence to dream of a life with Aithan and Drew, and maybe even Tobias.
