Her lips twitch up into a smile.“I went for breakfast with the girls,” she explains smugly.

“But you hate them,” I point out.

They hear me and while two gasp, one has a more violent reaction, smacking me around the head. Liv, I assume. But I ignore her. All of them in favour of the pig-headed girl glaring up at me like she might actually win this fight.

“No, Teddy,” she says with a laugh. “Don’t be silly.” I frown, hating the fake, high-pitched tone she uses. It sounds way too much like Keeley but as fast as I register that, it’s gone. Her expression changes and her amusement is forgotten. “I hateyou. Now if you’ll excuse me. I’ve got somewhere I need to be. And if it’s anywhere away from you, thank fuck.”

She ducks around me and takes off down the hallway.

It takes a couple of seconds, but eventually, I hear the slow clapping coming from beside me.

“What?” I sneer at Liv, finding her to be the culprit.

She stops and smirks.“You really told her. I bet she’s quaking in her biker boots.”

“Fuck off, Liv. Just… fuck off.”

I make it about six feet before the doors in front of me open and my boys walk in.

They find me, then look over my shoulder at the girls.

“What happened?”

“Get out of my way,” I grunt, continuing forward.

There’s no point in me saying anything. We all know that Liv is about to do it for me.

I remember a time when it was just the four of us against the world. But now, bro code has been well and truly smashed with the arrival of Liv and Tally.

Nothing is ever going to be the same again. And as much as I love our lives, I fucking hate it.

RAINE

“We need to talk.” Theo appears out of nowhere, blocking my path as I leave the dorms.

“No, we really don’t.” I shoulder past him, a smug sense of satisfaction skittering through me when I hear his muted groan.

Serves him right.

Throwing his weight around like a toddler having a tantrum.

“Don’t fucking walk away from me.” He grabs my arm and wrenches me backwards.

“I have therapy. I can’t be late or Miss Linley will ask questions. Questions I’m sure neither of us want to answer.” I glare at him, dropping my gaze to where he’s holding me. With a heavy sigh, Theo releases me and takes a step back, putting some much-needed distance between us.

“Why were you with the girls this morning?”

“Ask them.” I shrug, walking off toward the welfare centre.

“I did.”

“And…”

“And they hardly told me anything.”

“Well, don’t look at me. It wasn’t my idea to kidnap me and take me for breakfast.”
