“Well, do you?”

“Yeah,” I confess, feeling like a pussy for doing so.

“Then go and take her. Show her how you feel. Make her feel the same.”

“So romantic,” Elliot murmurs as if we’ve all lost our minds. And maybe we have.

“Do you have a better suggestion, Mr. I Can’t Admit How I Feel About A Certain Redhead?”

“This isn’t about me,” Elliot scoffs.

“No, but we can turn it to you next if you like,” Oakley offers. “You need a serious talking to as well. Maybe we could just slam your heads together and be done with it.”

“I need more alcohol for this,” I groan.

“It’s the middle of the day. You’ve got class and training later.”

“Don’t give a fuck.”

“Getting wasted and giving up on life will definitely help her come around. Great idea, mate,” Reese deadpans.

“Eat this,” Elliot says, throwing a packet of something into my lap. “And sober up. You’re attending classandtraining this afternoon.”

“Fuck off.”

“No. I’m serious. If your old man finds out there are issues, then you’re going to be in even bigger shit than you are now. But after training, you go after her and prove to her why she’s wrong.”

I’m silent for a moment, my biggest fear balancing on the tip of my tongue.

I fight it. I really do. But in the end, it comes spilling out anyway.

“But what if she’s not.”

Nothing but stunned silence follows my words.

“Theo,” Reese says while the other two look at me with sympathetic expressions on their faces. “She is. You’re fucking epic, she’d be lucky to have you, mate.”

“So what if you had a rocky start?” Oak adds. “We did with Liv and Tally and look at us now.”

“It’s different.”

“How?”

“I don’t know because somehow, she outsmarted us and tagged our cars. Ruined our fucking party.”

Elliot tenses at the mention of his beloved Aston. But the others let it go.

“We don’t know that for sure,” Oak says.

“She never confessed,” I admit. “But it was her. I’d put good money on it.”

“I can’t speak for all of us,” Oakley says. “But you at least deserved it.”

“She’s not like us. Everything about her life is—”

“So fucking what?” Elliot barks. “Just because she isn’t one of us, it doesn’t mean you can’t care.”

“Is that right?” Reese muses, while getting flipped off by Elliot.
