“This is more important.” He dips his head, capturing my lips in a slow lazy kiss that has my toes curling and heart racing.

“Yo, dickhead, put your girl down and get in here,” Reese yells, and Theo pulls away.

“I’ll tell them to clear out,” he says.

“Later.” I fist his hoodie, stealing another quick kiss. “I want to hang out with them.”

“Okay. But after, you’re all mine.”

“Always.” I smile.

It isn’t uncertain or forced, it’s one hundred percent genuine. Because I love Theo, and he loves me. And nothing else matters.

“You want us to clear out?” Elliot asks the second we step into the room.

“If I had my way, yes. But Raine wants to hang out.”

“Of course she does, we’re better company than you,” Oak teases, and Theo flips him off.

“Sit,” he says, giving me a heated look. “I’ll get some plates.”

“I’m not sure I like this new domesticated version of him,” Reese says. “He’s making the rest of us look bad.”

“Maybe you could learn a thing or two,” Liv lifts a brow. “It’s good to see you up and about.”

“Thanks. It feels good,” I admit. “I know I haven’t been…”

“You don’t owe us anything,” Elliot says, surprising me. “We’re just glad the two of you figured it out.”

“Fuck me, Eaton. Who are you right now?”

“Fuck off.” Elliot growls.

Everyone chuckles.

Everyone except Abi, who peeks over at him with a slight blush to her cheeks. I hope they figure it out soon because they’re not fooling anyone.

Theo comes back with our food, placing a tray on my lap and dropping a kiss on my head.

“Fucking hell, he has gone soft,” someone chuckles. But Theo doesn’t take the bait, making sure I have everything I need before he drops down beside me.

“Could have gotten something for the rest of us,” Oakley teases.

“Fuck off, get your own.”

I pick at my food. It’s good, really good. But my appetite still hasn’t fully returned, and I know it’ll take a little while until I’m back to myself.

But this, being here with Theo and our friends, is more than I ever could have hoped for.

“When do you think you’ll be back at school, Raine?” Tally asks and Theo shoots her a murderous look.

“What?” she balks.

“We haven’t talked about it yet,” I murmur.

“There’s no rush,” Theo says.

But the truth is, we need to have the hard conversations. Theo is due to start university in the autumn. And I’ll be stuck here, all alone. I’ll have Millie, sure. But it won’t be the same.
