Okay, so maybe it is, but I’m not admitting that to anyone including myself right now.
“Out,” I bark, unwilling to discuss my plans with him.
But before I get even halfway across the room, Oak is on his feet, and then footsteps thud my way as Reese joins us.
“Where are you going?”
“Out apparently,” Oak mutters like an arsehole.
“What the fuck is this? You two trying to replace my father or some shit?” I bark.
“Fuck, no,” Reese grunts. “But you’ve just had your heart brok—”
“I’m not fucking heartbroken. I’m pissed off my regular access to decent pussy has fucked off.”
They both glare at me, seeing straight through my lie.
“I don’t want or need your fucking pity,” I sulk, spinning around and giving them my back.
“Good because you’re not getting it. We will stop you from going out there and doing something stupid though,” Oakley argues.
“Whatever,” I scoff, more than ready to leave this bullshit behind.But being the pain in the arse friends that they are, they dart around me, blocking my exit.“Do you fucking mind?” I growl, losing my grip on my patience.
My phone buzzes and I stupidly lift it to read the message.Only, Reese is faster, and he has it out of my hand before my hungover brain has even noticed.
“Jesus, Theo. You really are dumber than you fucking look,” he chastises before passing my phone to Oak.
The second he sees who I’m talking to, his eyes narrow and his lips purse.“You’re not fucking doing this, man.”
“She cheated on me,” I blurt before I can catch the words.
“You don’t know that for a fact.”
“She told me,” I argue. “Right to my face.”
“Did she really?”
“Look, we might be wrong here,” Reese placates. “But Raine doesn’t seem like the kind of girl who’d do that.”
“How the fuck do you know that? We don’t even know her.”
“You do,” Oak argues.
“Yeah, and I’m telling you that she’s a cheating fucking whore. Now get out of my way.”
“You’ll regret it,” Reese warns.
“Doubt it. You’ve fucked Keeley,” I spit. “You know she’s good for it.”
“Oh yeah, I’m sure it’ll be great for the few minutes you’re inside her. Then what? You’re pissed, we fucking get it. But there will be no coming back from this if you do it.”
“Worth it,” I bark, snatching my phone back and dropping it into my pocket.
I step forward, waiting for them to move but the stubborn tossers just fold their arms across their chest and glare at me.
“Move,” I demand.
They glance at each other, having a silent conversation that I’m not privy to.
