“No,” he said, shaking his head. “No, we can’t do that.”

“You want to live? Talk,” said Nate. “Where is the money? Where are the names of all involved?”

Trak held up the large knife, twisting it in his hand and swiftly making cuts across the mid-sections of the two men. Both fell to the carpet, watching the slow crimson coloring seep through their shirts.

“Test me again. I beg you. I want to slice everything from your body.”

“Análí hastiin,” smirked Nate. “I think you’re scaring the little men. Maybe take a step back.”

“No,” said Trak, his eyes never leaving the two men. Nate shrugged, staring down at them.

“Sorry. I tried. I suggest you both get right with Jesus. You’re about to meet him.”

“Stop! Okay, okay. There’s a list of everyone involved and where the money is, inside a safety deposit box, inside a P.O. box at a mail center about a mile from here. Box 676.”

“Check it,” said Cam into his comms. “Take a seat, boys. We’re gonna need a minute.”

CHAPTER THIRTY

“Mr. President, I’m damn glad to know you weren’t a part of this,” said Luke.

“You thought I was part of this?” He shook his head. “I guess I was behaving strangely, wasn’t I? I didn’t know how to tell you who I really am. My big sister was everything to me, Luke. Everything. I know that you all come from a huge family, and if any one of them were harmed, you’d find the men responsible.

“That’s been my plan all along. I couldn’t trust anything or anyone. I was worried that everything was being recorded, and I didn’t want to take any chances, which is why I wanted to meet with you.”

“How did they get in?”

“Drugged the staff. Paul came in through the main gates, telling the security team that he had Judge and was supposed to meet with me. I’m not sure what happened after that. I suspected Paul, but I also knew he’d served with you. I just wasn’t sure what to do anymore.”

“Always trust us, sir. Always. We would never betray you or this office.”

“Luke? You read?” asked Dom.

“Loud and clear.”

“We’ve got the box. It has everything in it. Pages and pages of names, addresses, and all the bank accounts. Pigsty did a cursory check, and there are billions in these accounts, Luke. Billions.”

“Thanks. Guard it with your life, but get back to the plane.”

“Roger that.”

“Looks like you told us the truth,” said Nate, staring at Judge. “Doesn’t mean I like it, but I appreciate you coming clean on this.”

“Does that mean you won’t kill me?”

“Oh, fuck no. I never promised I wouldn’t kill you.” Nate smirked at his brother and the other men. “First, though, my friend here is going to take care of a traitorous teammate.”

Paul stared at Luke and Cam as they started to move toward him. Both SEALs at a level that he could have only dreamed of, he knew that he would never survive what they were going to dish out.

Darting around the big desk, he stood on the credenza, opening the window behind him.

“Sorry, boys, I don’t like pain.” Leaping from the window, he obviously didn’t think the fall would be enough to kill him. The crunch of his spine jamming into his skull said something different. Security guards raced toward the window as the president looked down.

“Secure him! He attempted to kill me!” said the president. Turning to the others, he nodded at the panel. “Go. Take Judge and do whatever is necessary. I trust you to exact my revenge.”

“On that, you can be certain, Mr. President.” Nate gripped Judge, yanking him toward the elevator as the men squeezed into the hidden passage. In small groups, they made their way back into the tunnels, walking toward the street and their waiting vehicles.

“I heard you,” said Nate.
