But holy cow, he was absolutely a great-looking man.

And the way he treated me in bed was—wow.

I mean, I know he paid me and everything, but still. The way he fucked me—it was incredible.

Mind blowing.

Healwaysmade sure I came first.

There had not been one boyfriend who’d ever cared if I’d had an orgasm or not. And none of them let me go first.

Not that I’d had a ton of boyfriends or anything.

And the Johns—well, I never had a real orgasm with any of them. I’d always faked it for their benefit.

And mine.

Some of them were really nice guys, and they wanted to see me get something—besides money—out of the deal. They were men, after all, and their egos were huge.

Not to mention they were paying me to give them an incredible experience.

So, that’s what I did.

But with Nick, it felt like something more.

“I can pay you three grand to take care of them for the month. Does that sweeten the pot for you?” I said with a big smile on my face.

Her jaw dropped and she plunked her ass down on my bed, making my suitcase bounce.

“What?”

“Three grand.”

“Are you kidding?”

I closed my eyes and shook my head. “Giselle, no lie. He’s paying me a load of cash. And that means I can pay you a load of cash, too. What do you say?”

“I say—have a great trip!” Her hands rose up and she started moving them around as she wiggled her body to her own beat.

My head fell back, and I let out a loud laugh. Then I hurtled myself onto the bed beside my friend, knocking the suitcase onto the floor. I wrapped my arms around her, and we giggled. “Thanks, honey. You’re such a great friend to me. I don’t know what I’d ever do without you.”

And that was the god’s honest truth. Giselle was always there for me at a second’s notice. Especially since my entire world blew up six months ago—and anyone who’d meant anything to me had screwed off.

Except for Giselle.

As for my BFF, Louise—I hadn’t told her what had happened.

Yet.

She’d been one of the lucky ones and had gotten out of this dumpy neighborhood.

Her husband was some swanky business guy who’d swept her off her feet and stole her away to greener pastures.

I could have called her for help when my world exploded.

In fact, Louise was going to be furious once she found out what had happened.

Then, she was going to be furious with me for not telling her.
