Parker stops walking and takes me in his arms.

I hear the click of a camera but ignore it as I squeeze him tight, a tear forming in my eyes.

“I’m sorry to hear that Cam. No wonder why hearing about my ex Nicoli affected you so much. I want you to know I would never hit anyone, least of all a woman. Especially one I claimed to love.``

His words mean a lot to me. No man has ever made me feel what Parker is making me feel.

Another click and a bright flash bring me out of my thoughts.

“Follow me,” Parker urges before he takes off at a sprint. I follow behind him as closely as possible in my heels.

He takes a turn at the corner and I follow. We run for a minute before we are at a secluded park.

It is small but there is a gorgeous wooden gazebo in the middle of it.

“Come on,” Parker says as he grabs my hand again and pulls me inside the gazebo.

He closes the door quietly and I watch as he leans his back against it, breathing heavily.

The gazebo has a glass ceiling so I can see the moon and stars clearly above us. It is quite the view.

“Wow,” I mutter as I look up. “The view is amazing.”

“Yes it is,” Parker says.

I look back at him and see him already looking at me.

He takes meaningful steps towards me until he is standing right in front of me.

Parker places both of his hands on either side of my face, tilting my head up towards him.

“What are you doing?” I whisper.

“What I’ve been wanting to do for ages,” Parker responds before placing his lips against my own.

Fireworks explode in my belly as my eyes automatically shut. My arms go around Parker’s waist, pulling him infinitely closer.

Our lips brush back and forth before I feel his tongue touching my bottom lip. I open my mouth and our tongues collide in a soft battle. The kiss is slower and more intimate than I expected but it is perfection. Everything inside me just feels right as our tongues connect. A symphony plays in my head as we kiss.

Parker pulls away first after a few minutes so that we can both breathe.

“That was… wow,” is all I can say.

My mind is a jumble of a mess. On one hand I am starting to feel smitten but on the other I am fearful for what this means for us.

Parker laughs breathlessly in my face.

“You are prefect.”

My stomach flips. I don’t know what Parker did to me but I am feeling all the feels. My body feels light as a feather yet heavy as a rock. Everything feels perfect and I never want this moment to end.

“Let’s go back to the penthouse,” I say.

“Is everything okay?” Parker asks, looking into my eyes.

I lean up and peck his lips, “Everything is just right.”

Parker seems to pick up on what I am offering and his face breaks out into a boyish grin.
