We both freeze at my words. I can’t believe I just let it slip out of my mouth. I wanted to confess my heart in a more romantic manner but alas here we are.

“You think?” Cam finally says as she flips her hair over one shoulder and smolders at me.

Her playful side is showing and I know that I do feel it.

“I love you Camden Schriefer. I really do.”

Cam beams at me before leaning down and placing a big wet smack against my mouth.

“I love you too Parker Madison,” Cam whispers against my lips.

I groan as she grinds down on me again but I know we can’t keep this up or we will be making love in my office surrounded by families.

Gently I roll us over until I am on top of her. I place a kiss on her nose.

“Do you want to be with me? Like officially?” I ask with a huge smile on my face.

“Like your fiancée?” Cam asks.

I can see fear creeping into her expression.

“Well for show, yes but officially as my girlfriend?”

Cam relaxes beneath me and she lazily smiles at me, “Yes. I will be your girlfriend.”

I lean down and place one last kiss to her perfect lips before helping her up.

We dust ourselves off and straighten our clothes before we head out of my office hand in hand.

Everyone thinks we’re engaged but it feels amazing to be holding hands with my girlfriend in front of everyone. While we are partially still pretending, we are in love and that is no lie.

“Daddy, look at what I’m eating!” Maisey shouts as she shoves a chocolate covered strawberry into her mouth.

I shake my head. That kid loves her sugar.

“She really is loving that chocolate fountain,” Cam whispers in my ear.

Cam and I have just reentered the break room after our hot makeout sesh and Maisey seems to not have missed us in the slightest.

“How much has she eaten?” Cam asks Malcolm.

Malcolm has a sneaky look in his eye that makes my eyes turn to slits. I never thought of myself as possessive but something about Malcolm looking at Cam makes my blood boil.

“Not as much as you think.” Malcolm holds up his hands.

“We’ve only given her small pretzels,” Lila explains. “Maisey and Chuck spent most of the time chasing each other around the table if we’re being honest.”

That is good to hear. I don’t need Maisey to have a sugar rush.

“Thank you two for watching her,” I say, shaking Malcolm's hand firmer than necessary and then giving Lila a lighter shake.

“It was no problem. She really is a dear,” Lila said, smiling at us.

The four of us watch as Maisey and Chuck devour the chocolate fountain. I would normally stop Maisey by now but it's a celebratory day. Not just because it's family day at work but the woman I love has said she loves me back. Nothing can ruin this day.

“How is work going?” Cam asks Lila after a beat of silence.
