“I’m sure Parker keeps it close to his chest but we are trying to make a deal with a new company and it is hard finding someone to go with. Everyone is so expensive,” Lila responds.

I glare at Lila. Cam and I don’t have a need to discuss my work. Once I’m home, I just want to spend time with my two girls. Work is the furthest thing from my mind.

“You’re right. Parker doesn’t talk much about work but we’re usually busy doing other things,” Cam says with a wink.

My face flushes at her inappropriate joke.

Lila smirks at me and Malcolm rubs the back of his head awkwardly.

I tighten my arm around Cam, bringing her closer as I kiss her temple. Gosh, I really love this woman.

“You two really are perfect for each other,” Lila says. “Parker needs someone to lighten his mood. He’s always so stiff at work but since he’s met you, he’s been so much more alive.”

I glare at Lila for what feels like the millionth time. I may have just been living for work and Maisey but now I love my life. Living for love just makes everything so much brighter. It’s as ifI am on a cloud. My thoughts are happy and full of hope and I have no one to thank for that except for Cam.

“I’m glad I can be of service,” Cam jokes. “We didn’t start off on the right foot, but I couldn’t be happier.”

Hearing that I make Cam happy makes me thrilled. Cam makes me forget about all my troubles and sadness. When I’m with her the loss of my sister and wife lessen. I still love and miss them dearly but Cam has helped me cope.

“She really does complete me,” I say with a smile.

“That’s good to hear boss,” Lila says before looking at her watch. “Well it’s Chuck’s nap time so I think it’s time Malcolm takes him home.”

Lila and Malcolm leave so Cam and I head towards Maisey before she can get into any more chocolate.

“Maisey, how do you feel about a tour?” I ask my daughter.

She jumps up and down, “Tour time! Tour time!”

I take Cam and Maisey around the office. Showing them whose desk is whose and we stop at each small vendor to get treats and play games. Family day is a hit with everyone at the office.

“How is your day going Maisey?” I ask once we make it to my office.

“My tummy hurts,” Maisey sniffles.

“Awe, Maisey, I think you had too much chocolate. I think we should get you home.” I say.

“Don’t you have to work? I can just take her,” Cam assures me.

I respect Cam’s words but at that moment I just want to be there for my girls.

“No, we’ll all go.”

We head to my car and I drive us back to the penthouse. Maisey moans in her carseat the entire way home about how her tummy hurts. It is sad yet adorable.

“I think we should have watched how much chocolate she ate,” Cam says, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

I agree but I also don’t. If we had been watching Maisey, we wouldn't have had our intimate confession.

I snatch up Cam’s hand and bring it to my lips, kissing the back of her hand.

“What was that for?”

“I just love you. Can’t I show you that?”

Cam flushes and shakes her hair into her face. She is absolutely stunning but at this moment she is the most adorable thing I have ever seen but I will never tell Maisey that.

We make it home and I carry Maisey inside. She runs to her bedroom and lays on her bed, falling asleep almost instantly.
