“This is too much,” I urged but my eyes were glued to the steak.

“Just take a bite.”

Nodding, I cut a small piece of the steak, it is pink in the center, and eat it.

The steak melted in my mouth and was so buttery.

“Now this is the best thing I have ever had in my mouth.”

Parker throws his head back and lets out a laugh, drawing attention from those around us. I blush but take another bite.

“I’m glad you are enjoying your meal. The grilled Australian lamb chops are pretty amazing too. Want to try a bite?”

I nod and Parker holds out a piece of meat for me to try.

It tastes divine but not as good as my steak. I know I won’t eat the whole steak but Parker insists we can take some back to the suite.

After we decide we’re done with our main course, Parker insists that we get dessert, even though I am full I don’t decline. I want to have the whole three course experience.

The waiter comes back with two creme brulee. I have never had it before but it smells delightful and tastes even better.

“Thank you,” I say looking deep into Parker’s eyes. “This has been the best meal I have ever had.”

“No need to thank me. I would do anything for you.”

I melt at his words.

We hold hands as we stand but my bubble seems to pop as everyone’s eyes are on us. I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, wondering why everyone is staring.

“Is that Parker Madison and his fake fiancée?” I hear a lady shout from behind us.

My back stiffens and I feel Parker stop walking and turn.

“Yeah, it's all an act,” a man voices from the other direction.

“What’s going on?” I whisper to Parker.

Is this some sort of set up?

“Let’s get out of here…”

Parker grips my hand tightly as we exit the restaurant.

We get in our uber and the uber driver gasps and turns down the talk radio he is listening to.

“You can turn that up, we don’t mind,” Parker says with a smile.

The uber driver looks at us in the rearview mirror before shrugging.

“It seems the whole thing is a lie. Parker Madison and Camdyn Schriefer are not actually engaged. She is just his nanny,” the radio says.

I gasp and Parker drops my hand.

“We have a reliable source close to the couple to thank for this news. It is all anyone is talking about,” the radio continues before changing topics to another pop culture topic.

We rode back to the hotel in silence. Thankfully the ride is only ten minutes but it feels like eternity.

“Parker what do we do?” I ask once we exit the car.
