“Camdyn Schriefer, we have had our ups and downs. Our great moments and our scary moments but if today taught me anything, I never want to live life without you,” I pull the box out of my pocket and open it. “I love you with all my heart. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

Cam stares at the glistening diamond ring before she meets my eyes.

“Yes, a million times yes!”

Cam kisses me gently, being careful to not touch my shoulder. The kiss is perfect. It is soft and wholesome full of love, just what I need at that moment.

“Cam’s going to be my mommy again?” Maisey asks.

We break our kiss and I rub Maisey’s head, messing up her hair. I look at Cam and raise a brow, it’s her choice how she answers.

“Yes Maisey. I’m going to be your mommy.”

Chapter 25 - One Year Later - Camdyn Schriefer

Growing up, I had always imagined marrying Parker but today that dream is coming true.

As I walk down the aisle alone in my Vera Wang pearl wedding gown. It was a gift from Parker as are the Tiffany earrings. I feel rich as I strut towards my fiancé or soon to be husband.

We are getting married at Carnegie Hall. Parker was able to pull some strings so that we only had to wait a year to get married at this venue.

Maisey is our flower girl and she is wearing a light turquoise color, which is one ofour wedding colors along with silver.

Everyone we know is in attendance, even our old friends and family from Piedmont.

I look up as I walk and make eye contact with Parker, his brown locks are slicked back off his forehead which allows me to see his eyes easily. They have tears in them. Tears of joy. Seeing him crying, starts me. I wipe a tear away from under my veil.

My heart soars knowing that I am about to become his wife and that my deepest dreams are coming true. I have desired this man for over a decade and here I am about to marry him.

Finally, I am standing in front of the man that I have fallen in love with.

“Hi,” I whisper as he takes my hand.

Parker beams at me as he places a kiss on the back of my hand.

Butterflies explode in my stomach at the action. Parker really is the sweetest.

“Are you two ready?” Mrs. Connelley, our marriage officiant, asked.

We both nod our heads and Mrs. Connelley starts the ceremony.

Everything is going off without a hitch as Parker and I stare longingly into each other's eyes. At this moment, I know true peace as I am about to become his wife.

“It is now time for the vows,” Mrs. Connelley announces. “Mr. Madison, you may go first.”

Parker clears his throat before speaking from the heart, “Camdyn Schriefer. You are not only the kindest and most beautiful woman I have ever met but you are a light in my life. You have brought so much joy to my little family and I love you dearly for who you are at your core. Being able to call you my wife is something that I have longed for. I love you my dear Cam and am so happy you are mine.”

Tears stream down my cheeks as I stare into Parker’s warm eyes. His vows were amazing and mine won’t hold a candle to his but it is now my turn.

“My dearest Parker, I have longed for this moment since I was a child. I have always seen you for who you are even when we had our rocky moments. You are not just the man that I love but you are my hero. You have shown me what it is to be seen and loved. I appreciate you and your daughter more than anything in this world. I love you so much and cannot wait to become your wife.”

Parker squeezes my hands and Mrs. Connelley continues the ceremony and then it is time to exchange rings.

I put the silver band on Parker’s ring finger and it fits well against his tan skin. Parker places my wedding band along with my engagement ring on my ring finger. I look down at our hands and a feeling of true calmness washes over me.

“I now pronounce you Mrs. and Mr. Madison.”

Parker beams at me.
