Before he knew it, Maggie’s dad had placed her gloved right hand on his left hand.
Levi glanced at Maggie. She was smiling sweetly, but her eyes were teary.
She mouthed “I love you,” and it warmed Levi’s heart.
This was their happiest day to date in their relationship and both of them were in tears.
Tears of joy, not of sorrow.
Tears of hope for tomorrow.
Tears of thankfulness that God had brought them together and kept them together.
“I love you too,” Levi mouthed back to Maggie.
And they held hands for the rest of the wedding ceremony, and for the rest of their lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Levi and Maggie Theroux.
