“I agree. I’ve watched the two of them sneak looks at each other when they thought the other one wasn’t looking. I’ve told Jackson that there was something there, but he ordered me to stay out of it,” Calliope commented to Cami.

Cami chewed her bottom lip as if debating on saying what was on her mind at the moment. Bellamy saw when she decided she’d just go for it. “Since things between you and Race might heat up,” Bellamy interrupted her with, “They’re not going to heat up.”

“Anyway,” Cami tried again. “You’re going to think I’m some trashy slut that fucks anything that walks, but I’m not. I own a respectable business. I work hard and I like to sometimes unwind at the clubhouse.”

Okay. Where was she going with this, Bellamy wondered. She’d seen Race and Cami get together at a party before, back when Lindsey met Trick for the first time. She wasn’t stupid, she knew Cami had had sex with him. It had hurt at the time, but he wasn’t hers. She had no right to hold it against the other woman.

“What she’s trying to say is that she’s hooked up with Race and several of the guys from time to time. Possibly and probably more than once,” Lindsey said.

Bellamy wasn’t sure what they wanted her to say. “I’ve seen you with Race before. It was the night Trick and Lindsey hooked up.” At the time she’d been hurt seeing Race with another woman. Especially one as beautiful and uninhibited as Cami. The sting of jealousy she felt for Cami had lessened as she witnessed a parade of women come and go from his bed. He never stuck with the same woman for long from what she could tell. Except for the Blonde Bimbo Barbie Charlotte. Why her?

“Are you going to be a bitch and give her shit and throw a fit because she’s fucked Race is what she’s wondering,” Jenna laid it on the line.

“No. I’m not going to do any of that. What Race has done in the past or does now isn’t any of my business.”

Cami smiled brightly. “Just so you know, I haven’t been with Race or any of them in a long while. When they started finding old ladies, I kind of backed off.”

“Yes. She hooked up with all of them at some point, even Trick. I don’t hold it against her as long as it never happens again,” Lindsey announced.

Calliope laughed. “Yes. Jackson doesn’t think I know about you and him.” The other woman appeared shocked that she knew. “Oh, come on. I mean, look at you. You’re gorgeous. He would have had to been a eunuch not to tap that.”

Cami didn’t know how to respond, her face blushing bright red. Everyone else laughed.

“I wish I could be as sexually liberated as you,” Bellamy patted her on the arm. If she were, she could move on to another man with the hope she’d forget about Race.

“Thanks. I think.” Cami smiled and threw an arm over her shoulder, giving her a side hug.

“Look. The cock-blockers are at it again.” Lindsey pointed toward where Chris, Darren and Lance were physically turning three men around and pushing them in the opposite direction. This same scene had been playing out all night with varying degrees of annoyance from their bodyguards. Bellamy might feel sorry for them if she wasn’t so drunk and having such a good time.

“I don’t know why they don’t just pee a ring around our table and be done with it.” Lindsey giggled.

“Let’s dance. These guys can keep an eye on our drinks until we get back,” Bellamy suggested.

Lindsey asked Chris to order another round of drinks with shots of tequila while they went to dance. He frowned, but nodded his head that he’d do it.

They formed a circle in the middle of the dance floor, their arms raised above their heads and swiveled their hips to the beat of the music. It didn’t take long for Bellamy to lose herself to the music.

She mentally sighed in happiness. Yes. Tonight was a very good night.

Race and his kids had just finished dinner and were kicking back and watching some T.V. He wasn’t really into the show they’d picked out, but he wasn’t going to complain as long as he got to spend time with them. He knew there would come a day in the not too distant future that his kids would be grown and wouldn’t be swinging by to the see the old man as much as they did now. For Derrick and Liza the time was coming quicker than with Shannon.

He glanced at his phone to see the message Jackson sent him, confirming he’d managed to find a spot in the shadows where he could keep watch over Calliope, Bellamy, Lindsey and her friends.

When Jackson told him what the women were wanting to do tonight and where they wanted to go, Race hadn’t been thrilled with the idea. Jackson reassured him that he had it covered. He was sending Chris, Darren and Lance to serve as bodyguards and taxi service, while he’d hide out in the shadows.

After his discussion with Jackson regarding how stupid he’d been and what he’d said that chased Bellamy away, he knew he had it bad for the woman. He couldn’t pinpoint exactly when it happened, but she’d managed to wiggle her way under his skin and she wasn’t getting out any time soon.

He’d tried to contact her several times over the last three days only to be treated to a complete shut out. He’d had a lot of things on his plate and hadn’t found time to track her ass down. First, he came home to find his heater wasn’t working and had to call someone to install a new one. That was a hit he hadn’t been expecting. Then, he’d driven by Bling a couple of afternoons hoping to catch her there. To top it all off, he’d been keeping an eye on her house and hadn’t see her once. He didn’t think she’d been home at all since he’d taken her to the clubhouse. He supposed she’d been hiding out at her grandmother’s and he wasn’t sure where that was.

He thought to give it another day or two and if she didn’t come home, he was going to find her if he had to put every brother in the club out there searching for her. They were going to hash this misunderstanding out. He’d give it until the weekend and go from there.

He glanced down at his phone and saw Chris had sent him a group photo of all the women. They were all beautiful. Calliope had that happy pregnancy glow. Lindsey had that thoroughly in love and happy about it look. Cami, well, Cami was a knockout any way you looked at it. Even the other woman he didn’t know was beautiful in that girl next door kind of way. All of them paled in comparison to Bellamy. She was just that fucking beautiful, she caused the breath to stop in his chest.

Before he could save the picture to his phone, Chris sent another picture of Bellamy standing in profile next to the table. His heart tripped in his chest. Son of a bitch. He’d never seen her in anything other than dresses and skirts. Holy hell, those jeans made her legs look ten miles long and they hugged her ass the way he wished he was doing right now. She wore a flirtatious red sweater that hung to the side, exposing one shoulder. Shit. He was getting a tingle that could prove embarrassing in front of his kids if he didn’t calm down.

The kids laughed at something on the television, prompting him to look up and see what he missed. Whatever it was, he’d missed it and he didn’t really care. This picture he immediately saved to his phone.
