A commercial had their attention focusing once again on him. He set his phone aside and asked Liza if she’d been having any problems with Clay or the kids at school.

“No. Not since he took it all down and admitted he lied about it,” Liza replied. “He’s actually the one that’s catching a lot of crap for lying about it.”

“I’ve been keeping a close eye on him, Dad. If he even looks at her, I’m going to knock his lights out,” Derrick proclaimed.

“You can’t do that,” Liza scolded her brother. “You’ll get in trouble and get kicked out.”

“It would be worth it to keep a creep away from you,” Derrick replied.

“Simmer down, you two. If you see or hear anything, let me know. I’ll take care of it so that you stay out of trouble, Derrick.” Race loved the fact that his son was so protective of his family, but he didn’t want the kid to end up with a record while in high school. If he decided to go to college, it could hurt his chances of getting into a good school.

His phone dinged with an incoming message and it was all he could do not to immediately reach for it. Instead, he waited until the kids’ program came back on to get it. It was a picture of Bellamy, laughing with her head thrown back. Then another one of her taking a shot of something. He chuckled to himself. He loved seeing this relaxed, fun loving side of Bellamy.

“What’s so funny?” Shannon asked.

“Some of the guys are at a bar and they’re sending me pictures,” he replied absently.

“Can I see?” Shannon hopped up and was looking over his shoulder before he realized she’d moved. “Oh, look! It’s Bellamy. She’s with Calliope and Lindsey.”

That’s all it took for the other two to come scrambling over to peer over his shoulder.

“She looks like she’s having a good time,” Liza commented.

“She looks like she’s drunk off her ass,” Derrick laughed.

“That’s enough. Get back to watching your show.” He closed the photo gallery app he had open and switched to a group text that the guys had started ever since the women arrived at the bar. That way everyone was kept in the loop regarding any possible problems. The threat of Jacob and the Phantoms was still out there.

Bellamy just admitted to hitting Charlotte and messing up the Walker kid.-Chris

Race grunted. Just as he suspected.Figured it was her.

Did you know she has been trained to use guns, knives and whatever as weapons? And knows self-defense. - Chris

No shit? - Tulsa

No. Didn’t know. - Race

Interesting. - Jackson

Darren, ever the quiet one, had no comments.

Damn. She just got a whole lot more interesting. - Chris

Think she’s taken. - Jackson

Oh yeah? Who’s the lucky guy? - Chris

Pres - Jackson

Oh. Gotcha. - Chris

They want to know why we don’t pee around their table because we keep running guys off. - Lance

Race frowned. Guys?How many?

Eight.Jackson responded. A video attachment came right on its heels.

“What the fuck?” he mumbled as he watched some guy grinding into Bellamy’s ass as they danced. “Oh. Hell. No.”
