“She’s tired all the damn time.”

“Whose fault is that?” I ask. His eyes shoot to mine, and I nearly laugh. I can see the hateful look in his eyes.

“Fuck off, Knight.”

“You know you love me, Prez. That’s why you voted my ass in. Get used to it,” I tell him. He chuckles and shakes his head.

“You might be gettin’ used to bein’ dead if you don’t shut the fuck up,” he laughs.

“Nah, you’d miss my ass too much.”

The day went by faster than I thought it would. The boys sit outside playing a game while Jessica and I sit inside and talk over dessert.

“Wasn’t all that bad, was it?” she asks. I shake my head, remembering what he did to me, what he did to my body.

“You said lunch only,” I remind her.

“That was his lunch,” she laughs.

“I’m serious. It was so embarrassing. I haven’t had anyone touch me like that in so long. I’m sure he noticed that little fact,” I confess as my cheeks turn pink. He said I could have stopped it at any time, but I didn’t want to. Not the way he made me feel. I wanted more. I sound like a cheap whore, but I can’t help it.

“He was good then, huh?”

“Oh, he was a master with his tongue,” I tell her. She laughs and slaps my arm before grabbing her drink and taking it down.

“I’m glad you had a good time,” she says.

“I just don’t know about sleeping with them, Jess. I’m scared,” I admit to her.

“It’ll be fine. By the time that comes along, you’ll be ready,” she tells me.

“I don’t think I will. I feel like I’m never going to have sex again in my life.”

“Oh, it’s going to happen, babe. Sooner than you think. Maybe even with the tongue man,” she tells me. I know all Kimber’s men are vetted and checked for diseases, but that does little to ease my mind.

“I doubt I’ll ever see him again.”

“Don’t say that. You know they can request the same girl, right?”

“They can?” I ask, unaware they could.

“Yeah, they can. What if he asks for you?”

“Why would he? We didn’t do anything notable.”

“He made you come all over his face. That is notable.”

“For me, yeah. I’m sure he’s done that for many girls before,” I tell her.

“I don’t know, I didn’t see the name. Anyway, if it was that good for you, I hope he requests you again.” We both laugh when I hear screaming from outside. My heart starts to thunder in my chest as I stand and rush out the front door. That’s where I see it. Cameron is fighting with another boy, and there’s a crowd around them.

I run down the steps and straight into the middle of the fight, trying to break it up, but it does me no good.

“Cam, stop it!” I yell at him, but the fight keeps going. That’s when I noticed the guy from next door. He storms into the middle of the fight, lifts the other kid off Cam as if he weighs nothing, and tosses him to the side. He then offers Cam his hand to help him off the ground, but Cam waves it off.
