“If I’m speechless, it’s because of just that. I have no words to properly express myself. I’ve never experienced such joy.”
Katie’s eyes glistened with slow-building tears.
“Besides the day you said yes and then again when we were mated. All of these moments include you. And this one is the best one yet. I mean it, Katie.”
Axur put his forehead against Katie’s and just held her for a moment. All the love he had for her swirled into one massive knot of emotion that he wanted to let out. So, he kissed her hard on the lips, pulling her in close to him as if to say that she was his forever.
When he pulled away, he couldn't stop smiling. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he scooped her up in his arms and twirled her right into their bedroom.
