Still facing each other on their sides, Axur slid up and pulled Katie into him, positioning her just right. He grabbed her outside leg and draped it over his own.

Axur gazed into Katie's eyes, still seeming to search for the words to express himself. She smiled at him, understanding his struggle, and waited for his thoughts to form into sentences.
"I know we're not ready for it to be here yet," he said finally, his voice trembling slightly with emotion. He placed his hand where her stomach was pressed against his. "But I can't wait until our child is born."
Katie's face lit up with joy, and she brought her own hand down to cover Axur's, feeling the warmth of it pressing against her skin.
"Me too," she whispered, leaning in to give him a tender kiss.
Wrapped in each other's embrace, Axur couldn't help but think about how much his life had changed since he met Katie. She had been such a breath of fresh air in his otherwise stale existence.
He looked down at Katie and grazed the back of his fingers over her cheek lovingly before tracing them down along her neck and shoulders. She turned her head to him, and he kissed each cheek softly, making Axur smile in contentment as he realized just how lucky he was to have found someone like her.
"I love you," he murmured quietly against her hair as he wrapped his arms tighter around her body, pulling her closer into their shared warmth and safety.
She had brought so much happiness and love into his life, and he was grateful for every moment he had with her. He knew their child would bring more joy into their lives, and he couldn't wait to watch their family grow together.
