That question again! I’m not ready to deal with this.

Chapter eleven

Mandy

Iwokeuptothe blasting of loud music. I groaned, rubbing my eyes and yawning tiredly. Why would Roger be playing a song at this time of the night? I was trying to wake up enough to figure out what was happening.

The song playing was a slow, sensual song. I didn’t mind it, and a smile formed on my lips. Maybe it was a surprise for me? I wrapped up in a blanket and walked to where the music was playing.

The lights were off, and only a dim light was in the middle of the sitting room. I was shocked when I looked and realized there was a stripper pole right in the middle of the room.

Was he going to do a strip dance for me? I wondered as I giggled.

“Took you long enough, darling.” A woman’s sensual voice called out in the dark.

My eyes widened, frozen in shock. I gasped as a curvy woman stepped into the light, but her back was turned to me.

I couldn’t believe I was in Roger’s house and witnessing a striptease meant for him. I couldn’t talk, move or do anything. I just stood in complete disbelief as I watched her remove every piece of clothing and toss it aside. She continued to dance around the pole, giggling.

When she finally turned around, she asked, “Well, how’d you like it, lover?” She turned the lights on and gasped when she saw me standing there, looking dazed and out of place. “Who are you?” she demanded as she wrapped herself in her coat to cover up.

“I’d like to ask you the same thing,” anger in my voice as I slowly emerged from my frozen trance.

“I’m Jessica. I belong here, not that I can say the same for you,” the girl said.

Jessica… the name sounded familiar. It suddenly clicked as to where I’d heard her name.

“You’re Roger’s ex?” I asked.

She giggled, “Whatever helps you sleep at night, honey.”

I blinked, frowning, “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Where is Roger?” she asked, ignoring my question.

“I don’t know,” I snapped.

She gave me a once over and smiled, “You’re not his type.”

I fumed inwardly. I won’t stand here and let her talk to me that way.

“Well, you’re his type, but he still dumped you,” I snapped at her.

Jessica laughed, “Is that also what he told you? Didn’t you watch the news? What country are you from?”

“None of your business,” I replied.

“He loves skinny girls. You, well, you’re quite the chubby one, aren’t you? Not his type at all,” she smirked.

I frowned. I wasn’t even offended by what she had said. She wouldn’t have the nerve to say such things if she knew I was pregnant with his child. I may have gained a few pounds from my pregnancy, but haven’t started showing.

“Get out. He’s not here!” I snapped. I don’t care if she still had a thing with Roger. I wanted her gone.

Jessica smiled. She had long, beautiful red hair and was Stunning. She was perfect in every way—every man’s dream girl. I now understand how she had Roger under her spell. But her attitude and personality suck, in my opinion.

“Give him this and tell him to call me,” she smirked. She tossed her panties towards me, landing at my feet. She grabbed her things and slowly walked as she left the Penthouse.

I felt intense rage rush through my body as I stared at the closed door. How dare she come in here and ruin my night. I was so happy earlier until she barged in and destroyed it.
