"You should have woken me up. I don't remember the last time I slept this late." I dig into the food as Josh gets me some coffee.

As I eat, it’s obvious how Josh's gaze lingers on me. It's as if he's studying me, trying to memorize every detail. I can feel my cheeks flush under his intense scrutiny, but I also can't deny the fluttering feeling in my stomach.

"So, what's the plan for today?" I ask, trying to distract myself from my thoughts.

"I got a new horse that I want to work with. I was hoping you would help me with that."

"Sure, what can I do to help?"

"She seems a little stand offish around me and the ranch hands. I'm wondering if a woman's touch might be what she needs."

As we get ready to head out to the stables, Josh grabs my hand and gives it a gentle squeeze. I look up at him and see the intensity in his eyes, and I know that something is different between us today.

While we make our way to the stables, my heart is racing. I can feel the heat of Josh's hand in mine, and I wonder if he's feeling the same intense emotions that I am.

I like this new side of him where he's more affectionate and not fighting us a couple. If this is how the day is starting, I can't wait to see what the rest of the weekend holds.

When we reach the stables, I can sense the nervous energy emanating from Josh. He's a skilled horseman, but it's clear that this new horse has him stumped.

"What's her name?" I ask.

"Good Golly Miss Dolly, but I just call her Dolly."

"I think it fits her." Walking over to the mare, I hold out my hand for her to sniff. She snorts and takes a step back. "It's okay, girl," I say softly. "I'm not going to hurt you." Slowly, I approach her and talk to her in a soothing tone. Gradually, she starts to calm down and I can feel her tension ease.

When I turn around, I see Josh watching me with a look of admiration in his eyes. "You're amazing," he says, his voice husky with emotion.

I feel a warm flush spread through my body at his words. It's been a long time since anyone has made me feel special like this.

Reaching out to Dolly, I’m thrilled she lets me pet her and stroke her mane. The horse relaxes under my touch, and soon I'm able to lead her out of the stall.

Josh looks at me in surprise as I bring the horse out. "You're a natural," he says, beaming with pride.

"Thanks," I reply, smiling back at him. "I just have a way with animals, I guess."

Then I walk her out to the round pen and begin working with her. The entire time Josh is leaning on the fence watching every move I make. His cowboy hat shades his eyes, but I get a great view of his tight jeans on that perfect ass of his.

As I work with the horse, I can feel the tension between Josh and me growing. There's an undeniable attraction between us, and I can't ignore it. Every time I look over at him, I catch him staring at me. Then he’ll give me an easygoing smile.

After working with Dolly a while, she starts nuzzling me and even allows me to saddle her and ride her around the pen. In fact, she appears to absolutely love it.

"Good girl," I say before turning to Josh. "What's next?" I walk over to where he is still leaning against the fence.

"How about we take her for a ride around the ranch? I want to show you a few of my favorite spots and she seems eager to go for a ride."

"Sounds good. Go saddle up, cowboy," I wink at him, keeping things playful. But he reaches through the fence and pulls me to him for a kiss. His lips are warm and soft as they meet mine, and I feel that jolt of electricity which runs throughout my body. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I deepen the kiss and I lose myself in the heat of the moment.

The damn fence is stopping me from getting any closer. When he pulls back, looking into my eyes with such intensity, I'm almost speechless. He places a soft kiss on my forehead, then turns and heads to the barn to get his horse ready.

As I watch Josh walk away in that pair of tight jeans, a thrill of sexual excitement courses through me. There's something about him that draws me in, and I know that I don't want to resist his cowboy charm.

I wait, petting Dolly until Josh gets his horse saddled and comes out of the barn ready to go

"What do you think? Ready to go for a ride, Dolly?" I ask her and she swings her head up and down like she is trying to say yes.

Once I mount Dolly, I turn to Josh. "Lead the way, Cowboy."

We start off at a slow pace, enjoying the beautiful view of the ranch. The sun is shining down on us, and a gentle breeze is blowing. It's the perfect day for a ride, and I feel a sense of freedom that I haven't felt in a long time.
