"I don't think so. He wouldn't have gone through all this if he wasn't serious about you," Dash adds.

I'm on the verge of tears, but I feel like I'm losing him, and there is nothing I can do.

"Listen, why don't you go talk to him and see what he says?” Mac says. “Suggest you two come down here for a few days and get away from it all. I’ve got a couple of guys I can send up there to cover his ranch."

As Mac is talking about us coming down to Rock Springs, I’m thinking it might be a great solution. "That’s good idea, And, I'd really like to see Sarah. It's been way too long."

"I can help out over at Josh's place, too. I think it will do you both some good to get away from it all," Dash says.

"Oh yes, and you can get all the Rock Springs gossip that Sarah doesn't share, and we can do a girls’ night and fill me in!" Sky says.

"Or, you can come down and join us..." I hint.

"I can't travel right now, but you girls have fun!" Sky says, but there is something in her voice that hints there is something she’s not telling.

"Why can't you travel?" I ask, wanting to make sure everything is okay.

Sky sighs, "Okay, I wasn't going to say anything until all this was resolved because we need to focus on helping Jenna, but..."

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Sarah says panic in her voice, and in the background, Dash chuckles.

"I'm fine. I'm just pregnant," she says.

The line is silent for a moment as it sinks in, and then both Sarah and I scream, "Oh My God! Congrats!"

"How far along are you?" I ask.

"Only nine weeks."

"Is everything okay? Why can't you travel?" Sarah asks.

"I had a little bleeding, and my doctor suggested I take it easy and keep my feet up until my next appointment."

"We will totally have to zoom you in on a girls' night so you can catch up with everyone!" Sarah says, and I agree.

"Okay, enough about me. Go talk to Josh and let us know what he says."

We say our goodbyes, and I hang up. Taking a deep breath, I walk to the window to go look at the barn. I don't see any sign of Josh, but taking a calming breath, I go out there.

As I approach the barn, I can feel my heart racing with anticipation and concern for Josh. Saying a little prayer, I enter the building, scanning the area for any hint of his presence. All I notice is the smell of hay and animals, but Josh is nowhere to be seen.

Walking through the barn, I call out his name softly, my voice echoing in the vast space. Hearing the sound of a faint whinny of a horse in the distance, I follow it until I find Josh in a stall, gently stroking a mare's neck.

Josh turns around, his eyes full of emotion. He looks so lost like he doesn't know where to turn or what to say. I can feel the weight of the situation pressing down on him, and I want nothing more than to help lighten the load.

"Hey," I say softly, approaching him. "Can we talk?"

He nods, still not meeting my eyes. We walk toward the back of the barn and sit on some of the hay stacked there.

Josh turns to face me, his dark eyes soft and filled with sadness. "Hey, I'm sorry," he says quietly. "I just needed some time to myself. Everything with your dad... it's just so overwhelming."

I take his hand, feeling the warmth and comfort it brings. "It's okay," I say, trying to reassure him. "We're all here for you, Josh. No one could've expected any of this."

He exhales, his shoulders relaxing slightly. "I know. I just don't know what to do. My feelings for you are so strong, but my loyalty to your dad is... well, it's a struggle."

Wrapping my arms around him, I try to give him some of my strength.

"I get it. It's not easy for me either. I never thought I'd hear my dad say the words he did to me. It is hard to believe the man on the phone really was my father.
