"Well, let's head inside so Jenna and I can figure out how to decorate it for you boys," Mom says.

"We also need to see what furniture you are going to need. I know Willy said he's left some," Dad says.

When we go inside, the place looks empty compared to the last time we were here.

"Wow, Willy left this place in great condition," Dad says.

The wood floors have all been recently polished, and he left a couch and the dining room table.

"These are brand new appliances," Josh says.

When I walk into the kitchen, I see it’s true. He replaced the appliances with brand-new ones.

"Same with the washer and drier. They are brand new, too," Mom says, coming out of the mudroom where the washer and dryer are.

"I can't believe he did that," I say.

"Just wanted to make sure you had the best possible start," Willy says from the open front door.

I've prided myself on keeping my emotions close to my chest ever since the girl I dated in high school broke my heart, but this man right here is making my eyes tear up. I walk over and pull the old man into a hug.

"Hey, now, none of that. I also left you three new beds in the bedrooms. They have to be put together, but at least you will have somewhere to sleep tonight."

"Thank you for this," I say, knowing there really are no words that can express what this means to us.

"Well, knowing this ranch went to someone who wants it as much as I did is all the thanks I need. Just like my granddaddy said to me. If at any point you go to sell it, make sure it goes to someone who wants to run the ranch, not the land," Willy says.

"We will, but I don't see us selling anytime soon."

"Good. Now excuse me, I need to get on the road. I have a hot date waiting for me." Willy turns and walks through the door yelling, "Arizona, here I come!" Then gets in his car and drives away.

I watch Willy go. Even once his car is out of sight, I continue standing on the front porch, enjoying the view. I can hardly believe that is my view from my front porch. Then a truck I know very well with a trailer on it starts down the driveway. When it parks, I walk over, "Mrs. Granger, what are you doing here?" I ask.

It was hard putting in my notice with her. She and her husband have talked to me so much and taken me under their wing. I dreaded that conversation, but they were overjoyed when I told them we finally got a place and which one it was. They insisted we let them help any way they could, and of course, we'd take them up on it.

"Well, you didn't think you'd sneak away and never see us again, did you, boy?" She says with her customary sass.

"No ma'am," I say with a smile.

"Good. Now Finn, get over here!" She calls my brother, who is on the front porch.

"On the passenger side, there are enough meals to feed you for a month. Put them in the freezer, and the directions are on top," she says.

"You didn't have to do that, but thank you," I say.

"That I did have to do. You boys were planning on frozen meals. Don't even lie to me. Now this," she says, starting toward the trailer. "This I didn't have to do, but after all the years of work you did, and how often you went above and beyond, it's well deserved."

Zach, Josh, and my dad have joined us at the back of the trailer, and through the slats, another pair of eyes I know all too well looks at us.

"Rocky?" I ask, shocked to see one of their best bulls in the trailer.

"Yep, it was time for us to bring in a new bull anyway, and heifers are cheap, but a good bull will be hard to come by. This should keep you in the black for at least a few years. Now, where do you want him?"

I turn to look at Josh with my eyes wide, and he chuckles.

"Put him in the small field by the barn for now," Josh says.

After I agree, Zach helps her with as I stand there still in shock.
