I look up at his sparkling hazel eyes and examine him. He has a full beard that goes to almost the center of his chest. His hair is short, slightly longer on top and almost buzzed on the sides. It’s all brown with a red tint, but you can see hints of gray coming in.

For some reason, I slightly relax, believing what he is saying. These are dangerous men, though. I know that for sure. They are wearing biker cuts. I’ve heard about them before from Ben. They are killers, and it’s best to stay on their good side. The three who ran up form a half circle around the guy and me.

I realize I didn’t actually hear his name. I look over at him, making eye contact again as he glances down at me.

“What is your name?”

He flashes a smile. “Sugar.”

I raise my eyebrows. “I’m sorry, did you just say… Sugar?”

Everyone laughs, and Sugar nods.

“Sure did. It’s my road name.”

“Uh… road name?” I scrunch up my brows, confused.

The guy closest to Sugar speaks up.

“Yep. We all have road names. It’s like a nickname. But we only go by our road names. You get one when you join the club.”

I nod but still don’t fully understand.

He must realize that because he chuckles, “I’m Rage, president of the Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club here in Jacksonville.”

I nod, staring at him.Jesus, he’s just as hot as Sugar. He also has a beard, but it’s much shorter than Sugar’s. His brown hair is longer and styled messy. His narrow eyes are a dull blue color. If the sun wasn’t shining, I’d think they were closer to gray. He’s just as tall as Sugar. Both towering over me at probably 6’2 or so.

The guy standing next to Rage clears his throat. “I’m Daniel.” He smirks and winks at me. He’s probably only eighteen. Barely. I find myself wanting to wrinkle my nose at him, especially when he eyes me up and down.

Gross… Oh my gosh, that’s mean, Presley!I nod and try to give a polite smile. The guy next to him slaps him on the back of the head.

“No talking, prospect! Go inside and get to work,” he snaps, making a shudder go down my back.Good or bad… I have no idea.

I look up at him… and I meanup. He is at least a foot taller than my five-foot-five inches.

Holy sweet baby Jesus of all things holy, I have no idea what I am saying, but dear lord this man is pretty…I guess I can understand why that woman was complaining. I bet a lot of women come around wanting to just have some eye candy all day. I feel my face flame at that thought.

She still had nothing to worry about. I might find them attractive, especially this one that I don’t know the name of. But none of them would ever findmeattractive.

Rage, Sugar, and this guy all crack up laughing. Hard. I look at them all confused, before the one guy I don’t know yet steps forward. Looking down at me with his brown eyes and perfect kissable lips that are curved up into a cocky but hot smirk.

Chuckling, he says, “I think you might be the first person to ever call me pretty.”

My eyes go wide.Oh shit.

Chapter Two

Axe (Jackson)

“HolysweetbabyJesusof all things holy, I have no idea what I am saying, but dear lord this man is pretty…” I don’t think I have ever been called pretty before.

“I think you might be the first person to ever call me pretty,” I chuckle.

I watch as her eyes go wide and she looks ready to vomit or run, realizing she said that out loud. Everyone eventually gets it together and stops laughing. She looks like a deer caught in headlights.

I can’t stop staring at her. She’s the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She has short, shiny black hair that falls right below her slender shoulders. It’s perfectly straight and makes her heart-shaped face stand out. She has large brown eyes that show all of her emotions. She’s tiny. Well, compared to me, anyway.

I glance at Sugar and Rage, who both are finding this way too amusing. I look back down at the angel in front of me and take pity on her. “What’s your name?”
