“Thanks man,” I sigh.

Tristan nods, then pauses to smirk toward Lo’s brother. “Well, mostof us are. Iver, you still being a salty little bitch about this?”

“What?” Iver protests, jerking his head up and looking around wide-eyed. “I wasn’t being salty!”

“You definitely were,” Ares cackles.

“Eh, water under the bridge, right Iver?” I say, reaching across in front of Chey to clink my beer bottle with his.

He gives me a nod, raising his beer and taking a sip. Then he licks his lips, pointing a glare toward the others. “You can’t blame me for being protective over my sister,” he mutters.

“My mate is Tristan’s sister, you don’t see him bitching,” Madd shrugs.

“Wasn’t he the reason you two didn’t talk for years?” Archer points out.

“Oh yeah.” Madd turns at the waist, winding up and landing a hard punch on Tristan’s bicep.

“Ow, what the fuck!” Tristan groans. He rubs at his arm, turning to glare daggers at Archer. “Thanks for bringing that up, bro.”

“Happy to be of service,” he sniggers.

“How would you feel if it was Avery?” Iver asks, sitting back and arching a brow in Madd’s direction.

He just shrugs again. “Aves gets hers. She’s a grown ass woman, just like Lo.”

“I know what you mean, Iver,” Archer cuts in. “I’m protective over Andie, too.”

Tristan rolls his eyes, shaking his head. “Andie can handle herself, man. All those girls can.” He lifts his gaze to look toward the entrance of the bar, his lips pulling into a grin. “Speaking of…”

I turn over my shoulder to see Avery, Sloane, Lo, and Andie walking in, and I’m not the only one who notices. It’s like the energy in the room shifts, and I swear every fucking head in the bar turns to look at those girls, either wanting to be them or be with them.

Mine.

“Oh, we know,” Chey chuckles, and that’s when I realize it wasn’t just my inner wolf making that declaration- I actually said it out loud.

Oops.

I’m not embarrassed, though. Far from it. For too long, I had to pretend like I hardly even knew Lo when we were in public, and it was torture. Now that our relationship is out in the open,I want to scream it from the fucking rooftops. She’s mine, and I couldn’t be prouder of that fact.

As the girls make their way to our table, I undress my mate with my eyes, appreciating how every inch of her is sheer perfection. She definitely clocks the way I’m checking her out, too- by the time she approaches, a rosy blush has formed on her cheeks, the silver of her wolf gleaming in her eyes.

“Mi amor,” she greets, sliding onto the stool beside me.

“Hermosa,” I growl, grabbing her face in both hands and kissing the hell out of her, just because I can. There are no more secrets; there’s no more hiding. I’ll never tire of being able to publicly claim her like this.

Lo melts against me, tilting her head as I deepen the kiss and the world around us fades away. Her hands fist the front of my t-shirt to draw me in even closer, my cock thickening beneath my zipper. We finally come up for air at the sound of someone loudly clearing their throat, and Lo’s cheeks turn a deep shade of pink as she glances around the table, swiping saliva from the corner of her mouth with a thumb.

“See,” Sloane declares as Madd pulls her onto his lap, looping her arms around his neck and peering into his eyes. “Itoldyou he belonged with us.”

“You were right,” he murmurs, grinning at his mate. Then he lifts his gaze to me, his grin still in place as he gives me a little nod.

I belatedly realize that maybe I shouldn’t have just made out with Lo in front of her brother, but luckily, Cheyenne is the world’s best wingwoman. She and Iver are completely engrossedin their own quiet conversation, seemingly oblivious to what’s going on around them.

Damn, maybe my cupid act worked, after all.

Good for Chey.

“So, are we still doing the full moon run this weekend?” Avery asks as she squeezes in between Madd and Tristan. “I know the Denver pack is sitting this one out, but as long as we have the proper precautions in place…”
