"We'll get one, Iz," he grins as he places the diamond halfway down my ring finger.

"Repeat after me," the minister instructs. "With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring," Brady smiles wide, "I thee wed."

"Pretend you have an invisible ring," the minister whispers to me.

I place my fingertips around Brady's left-hand ring finger.

"Repeat after me," the minister chuckles. "With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring, I thee wed." The words come out choppy and harsh.

"You OK?" Brady asks me.

"Yeah," I gaze up at him. "I just never thought...that this would ever happen."

"Me either," he leans forward to kiss me.

"Not yet!" the minister interrupts.

Brady and I share a laugh as a snowflake falls onto my cheek. Brady's thumb wipes it away as he stares at me adoringly.

"I now pronounce you man and wife," the minister closes his Bible. "You may kiss your bride, Brady."

"Finally," Brady steps forward. He runs his fingers through my hair before his lips connect with mine and he kisses me. It's sweet and soft. When our lips part, Brady cups my face in his hands and says, "Over the years, in every version of forever, you've always been it for me."

"Forever," the word rolls off my tongue. "I can't believe it."

"Believe it," the minister pops in with our signed marriage license. "You're officially married."

We kiss as the minster heads back down the muddy dirt trail, leaving us on the rocky cliff edge surrounded by pine trees.

We kiss until my hair is covered in snowflakes and Brady's freezing hands slip under my warm sweater, making me gasp.

"My fingers are frozen," he chuckles as he slides them out. "Let's head back to the car."

Brady snakes his arm over my shoulder as we meander down the pathway. I let out a contented sigh as I lay my head on his shoulder.

"How does it feel to be Mrs. Brady Cohen?" he whispers in my ear.

"Good," I exhale.

"You don't want to scream it from the mountaintops like I do?"

I glance up at him. "I think I'd like to keep it to myself for a while. People ruin things."

Brady stops walking. I stop beside him.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

He swallows hard. "I just realized something that I hadn't before."

"And?"

"You're not flashy, Iz," he begins. "You're quiet and gentle."

I lick my lips nervously. "Is that a bad thing?"
