Indy moaned.

She whimpered.

And her hands were clawing at me in a feverish way. Like she couldn’t get enough. Like she was worried she might not have me like this ever again.

I didn’t know what it was going to take, but I’d be certain to give her all that she needed long before the day was over.

One brutal thrust after another, I pounded into her. My fingers tightened ever so slightly around her throat, but not enough to stop her from getting any air.

The moment I tore my mouth from hers to take in the sight of her beautiful face, I could see it happening. Indy was right on the verge of coming again.

Her skin was flushed, her lips were parted, and the look in her eyes said everything her mouth wasn’t.

“Are you going to come for me again, sugar?”

She pressed her lips together, and my hand felt her swallow. “Griffin,” she breathed.

“Tell me, Indy,” I ordered.

Shaking her head slightly, she rasped, “I don’t think I can. It’s too much.”

The corners of my mouth tipped up. “You can. You will.”

“No. I don’t think I can.”

She was holding on for no reason. “Let it go, Indy. Give it to me and let me see you through.”

It took her a moment, but eventually, Indy’s lips parted again, a moan escaped, and she gave me what I wanted.

Once I knew she was getting what she needed, what I had wanted to give her, I allowed myself to let go, never once taking my eyes off of her and feeling something utterly profound move through me.

By the time we’d gotten ourselves cleaned up and were back in the bed resting for a bit, the feeling hadn’t left me, and I knew where I needed to take things next.

But before I had the chance to say what I wanted to say to her, Indy spoke.

“I don’t know what, if anything, you had planned for today, but if I can have any say in the matter, I’d like nothing more than to stay in this bed with you for the rest of the day.”

I let out a laugh and replied, “I had anticipated I was going to want the same, so I didn’t make any plans for us to do anything outside of this house today. To that end, even if I have things I’d like to take you to do and show you around the island while you’re here, there is no schedule. I’m all yours for the next ten days, and we’ll spend it however you want.”

Indy let out a sigh of relief and rested her cheek back against my bare chest. Her fingertips were tracing gently over my skin. For a few moments, she didn’t say anything, but I knew there was more coming, so I waited patiently.

Finally, she declared, “It was hard.”

“What?”

She inhaled a deep breath, lifted her cheek from my chest once more, and let it out. Then she clarified, “When I lost everything and was living on my best friend’s couch, I thought it was the hardest thing I’d ever been through. But I was wrong. Nothing in my life has been as challenging as being away from you these last four months.”

This was the perfect opportunity to share what I needed to share.

“I know, because I felt the same exact way as you,” I assured her. “I think that’s the way it is, though, when you love somebody. Every day you have to spend without them feels like agony.”

Her body tensed, and her eyes roamed over my face. “What?” she whispered.

I smiled at her, one of my hands coming up to cup the side of her face. “I love you, Indy. Fuck, I love you. And I’ve been dying for you to get here, just so I could tell you in person.”

Tears filled her eyes and immediately started spilling down her cheeks. I brought my other hand to the opposite side of her face and swiped at her tears with my thumbs.

“You love me?”
