“Well, you sit wherever you like and tell me about yourself.”

And I did for over an hour and a half. She just let me ramble on about everything from the fire when I was a little girl to how Hudson keeps proposing to me. It felt good to talk to someone that does not know of my past. She gave me some homework and then told me to come back next week.

My life was perfect before I met Hudson. At least, what I thought was perfect. It was just me, my serial dater best friend, my little shop, and my goose. Then Hudson and I touched that first day and it has forever changed my life.

He loves me. Curves and all. He wants me and he’s even mentioned kids someday. He’ll never be like Adam, and I’m confident in our relationship. Hudson wants to be with me, and I want to be with him, too, and we’re starting to build a life together.

“Hello?” I answer my phone by pressing the button on the steering wheel of my new SUV. My last one didn’t have this neat little gadget.

“How’d it go, baby?” His smooth voice comes over the speakers.

“Really good.” And I mean that when I tell him.

“I’m glad to hear it. Where are you heading?”

“Home. Home to you.”

“I’ll be waiting for you.”
