Natalie chuckled. “You are kidding, right?”

Legion remained silent as he stared at Rhadan.

Natalie looked between them. “Holy shit.”

Alana was also staring at Rhadan. “Is it me, or is he different? He is still hot and all, but he isn’t glowing.”

Jemma nodded. “Yeah. He is different.”

Legion narrowed his eyebrows. “Rhadan, use your power.”

“Why?”

“I believe you have lost your... potency.”

“Tell me I am the most beautiful dragon ever born,” Rhadan said.

Legion huffed. “Pansy ass.”

Rhadan laughed. “Is my power truly gone?”

Legion shook his head. “I don’t think so. I still feel it, but it is much weaker. Try it again; only concentrate on your voice.”

“Legion, tell me you will give me a back rub later,” Rhadan said with his voice pitched low.

Legion nodded. “Sure, I will give you a back rub.”

The ladies laughed, and Legion sighed. “That is so not happening.”

Rhadan’s arms squeezed Tempest’s middle. “I believe most of my power was sacrificed in that spell. What an amazing boon.”

They all looked at the temple as it solidified in the cavern. The drawbridge started to lower as Tempest felt her body being sucked into an invisible wormhole. She didn’t have time to call to her mate, and she was standing inside the temple, beside the table with six chairs. She clutched her stomach as the other five druids met her gaze. “If that’s what a portal feels like, remind me to pass in the future.”

Mara grabbed the chair in front of her. “I agree. Tempest, can you see us?”

Tempest blinked. “I can, but my eyesight was perfect when I visited the temple.”

Mara moved her hand around the room. “But this is real. The temple is in the dragon caves. This is our world, not Adara’s imagination.”

Tempest touched her face. “What are you saying?”

“That your eyes are a beautiful emerald green. Your sight has been restored.”

Tempest ran her hand over the solid table before placing her circle on the inset in front of her. “It’s real. Quick, everyone, sit at the chair beside your circle.”

They all sat down and grabbed each other’s hands. “We did it,” Natalie said.

Alana was staring at the altar with the large leather-bound book. “Adara’s bones are gone.”

Mara’s eyes glazed over with white before returning to their natural color. “Adara’s bones have been returned to the earth. They lie beneath the temple.”

Adara formed beside them. “Welcome, my children. You’ve done well.”

Tempest reached out and ran her hand over Adara’s robe. “You’re really here.”

Adara nodded. “This avatar is corporeal when I wish it to be. I am bound to your realm now.”

Alana touched the black onyx circle with the fox’s eye. “And Ren? Is he alright?”
